Superb Firefox add-on - Allows scrolling down all deals without having to click on page numbers etc

SUPERB ADD-ON FOR FF - No more having to click next page etc. Unlimited deals shown in one window! Just keep scrolling down and it auto-loads the next page.

For firefox users, download the add-on AUTOPAGER. I have added a global setting in AUTOPAGER for HUKD so when scrolling each HUKD page, it autoloads the next page and adds to the bottom. See screen image of me scrolling from page 4 to 5 whilst page 6 etc is loading in the background:-

Also many other settings have been already setup for google and other popular websites where pages run into many figures.

How quick is it when it's working?

Any major slow down as the pages load - or do they all load up together in like a long string of pages?
#5
add on feature is the one thing that sticks me with firefox... they seem endless possibility with these things

unfortunately the more addons you attach to FF the slower it will be

thanks for the tip  ull give it a go

you should just install autopager and go into your custom view

http://www.hotukdeals.com/custom

it should then ask if you want HUKD-CSIMAN settings added to autopager

it will only start loading the NEXT page when you start scrolling and reach about half way down the current page

and then repeat as you scroll down

to check its installed autopager correctly, just google anything with lots of hits and should ask you if you want to add the google settings by WIND LI

I assume you did try to scroll down?

I have come across some sites already where the paging has been implemented so its not just google search

I use your own settings. go to custom hot deasl page. click on grey autopager icon in toolbar

then click on Pickup Link icon (like a target)

then go to NEXT hyperlink at the bottom of the page and Press the s key

then test site

if ok then click on Green tick to add site

Cool!

Did you add them globally so others can use them? - The green tick (Add site for each flavour of all topics all forums and all new posts ).

just wish i could work out how to get this working for each thread but i dont think it will work as they have a thread number in the URL.

I tried ebay and searched but didnt get a pop-up for adding a global option. Did you set one up manually yourself?

I got a pop up when i did a search for newly listed 360 games and it's now applied it to the whole site. :)

Just added a wildcard of www.hotukdeals.com/*

Now all pages I click on now have the option to apply

dont suppose you could explain clearly how you done that? cos im lost here lol

be warned that this application is a MASSIVE cpu hog in your system

it also takes longer for your pages to load and regulary just hangs....

it also screws up many different forums and sites you want to look at

it also makes an extensive list of every website you visit which at present cannot be deleted so you can not have private browsing so if you been visiting sites you dont want the kids or mrs to see you're up the creek

it also hard to remove all the bits n pieces when you do an uninstall it seems to carry on working

other than that its handy for 1 or 2 sites

Test site errored as link xpath was blank, so entered these details:

csiman
URL Pattern should be

http://www.hotukdeals.com/custom*

Link xpath should contain

//a[@class='nav_pad' and contains(text(),'Next')]

content xpath

//div[@id='pad_wrap']

and then changed Pattern to http://hotukdeals.com/*

Just came across this today - good tip

I use slightly different params though:

url- http://www.hotukdeals.com/all*
content - //div[@id='deal_content']

I haven't really tested it much - but this seems to only load the meat (topic list) of each new page, rather than the whole page (with header and footer included). Also this then seems to work on all of the forums.

One annoying thing is that after every autopage event - the window loses click focus, so you cant mouse-wheel/pg-dn without clicking back onto the page. Actually this only happens on the first autopage event so is only slightly annoying :)

Also your params also work in threads - by changing the url to
http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/*
This is ugly though, it displays the entire page each time - as there is no element separating the replies from the rest of the content.

is there a similar thing for my Opera browser? As i don't like Mozilla.

worth a bump as now improved to include paging arrows (see green icons):-
