Preferably 5.1, dont need to be a quality make, can anyone point me in the right direction please.
Looking for the smallish speakers, not the 5 foot tall ones

the rear ones on the sammy need a power point but use bluetooth or something for signal.

the other ones I've heard have terrible sound, for actual sound systems etc, but for home cinema the panny is brill!

I don't have one myself, however, because I hate wires and stuff, it would be my compromise....if I had the money:viking:

daughter chose smiley:whistling:

I've got a Sumsung XT-250r home cinema system and it's absolute carp.. The sound is awful and very muffled. I went for this system to go with my sammy TV and SkyHD and I really am disipointed. The only time it is on is if I watch a DVD and have to have it on..

Stay away from Samsung Skusey..

The logitech 5.1 thx certified with 2x rear wireless 650 Watt max output something like 315 w RMS I bought my son are OK if you can still get them. He has had his now for 2 years so if they still do that model they may be cheaper or they may have updated that model and kept price same.

Logitech Z-5450

the rear 2 speakers use 2.4ghz but still need to get power from wall socket so only wireless in sense that they are not wired speakers to AMP

I wouldn't use wireless speakers for reasons of quality and convenience. Yes, having no cables is a good thing, but consider the fact that they need somehow to be powered, and the fact that you simply aren't going to get good quality out of five small systems with integrated battery-powered amps and receivers. And battery life is a problem. My 5.1 receiver draws something like 200w at its peak, imagine what batteries would be like in that sort of scenario. You're either going to need a lot of AAs, or a lot of custom-made li-ion batteries, and they tend to die after a few years.

So, go with wired and you get a bit more mess, but go with wireless, and you get poorer sound quality, much greater initial cost, much poorer reliability, vastly reduced longevity, and increased long-term running costs. Wired's the way to be.
