I wouldnt get it-I can imagine all sorts of side effects arising soon-doesnt exactly seem to have gone through the years of testing normally associated with new drugs.

I know you suffer from anxiety so don't read too much from links etc. Speak to your doctor about it for the best advice. :) xx

because the virus will probably mustate over the wonter months...so u the antibodies u acquired wont work on the new virus.

anyways same here... i dont think i want to get it... im having a difficult pregnancy (pelvis is weak) but im avoiding taking paracetamol as well so i cant see myself saying yes to a vaccination. no thanks!
#12
I am not eligable but my kids might (asthma) I will have to say no. Been put together in a small amount of time, who knows what side effects it will have, not enough research has been done for my liking especially if nhs staff are rejecting it.

yup and athroat swab thingy ....was definately swine flu....but i should still be vaccinated apparently ....which i thought was odd

It's because it mutates so you may get a different strain to last time. :)

Vaccination was made by the same people who were testing this virus by the way and it some how got out to the general population.

Pregnant women are four times as likely to develop complications from swine flu as anyone else ,

no dont think so,think some of the preggers ones who have died have had no underlying illness

I am supposed to get it as I am asthmatic. However, already off work with normal flu and a chest infection so don't really fancy putting anything else into my body at the minute.

that article "Female soldiers given the vaccine were advised not to become pregnant for at least 18 months because of the risk of birth defects."

I should get it because I have really severe asthma, but I am unsure

I am trying not to read too much about it until its issued (and therefore they are talking about actual cases of people who have had it, rather than speculating). I am not happy that it has been tested on so few people, and these are healthy people too, so less likely to have problems.

Problem is, I think if you turn it down now you wont get another chance to have it (e.g. in a few months when we know more about it)

Will be having the ordinary flu jab and had the pneumonia jab less than 10 years ago (protects you for 10 years) - have had pneumonia since then but was told it would have been more serious if I hadnt had the jab

If you have had pneumonia then i cant believe you are considering not having the flu jab,You should be the first person to get it,
#33
hmm i seem to have been silenced.

It's only flu so I don't think I'll bother.
#35

That opening article is awful. It says "Mercury, a vaccine preservative, was withdrawn from childhood jabs five years ago after evidence linked it to brain damage." There was never any scientific evidence that linked it to brain damage- it was pressure from mad anti vaccine people. source http://www.sciencebasedmedicine.org/?p=14

Secondly "Squalene was included in the anthrax jab given to British and US soldiers during the 1991 Gulf War. Many claim it caused them permanent neurological damage, known as “Gulf War syndrome”. There is no proof that gulf war syndrome exists and it used as a term to describe a general number of complaints from the soldiers and no evidence to link it squalene. Sourcehttp://www.sciencedirect.com/science?_ob=ArticleURL&_udi=B6TD4-4W6VPG3-1&_user=10&_rdoc=1&_fmt=&_orig=search&_sort=d&_docanchor=&view=c&_acct=C000050221&_version=1&_urlVersion=0&_userid=10&md5=88bb2a9e03bcc40ed28900566f9ba2ea

Point number 3 -"Dr Richard Halvorsen, author of The Truth About Vaccines, said: “Mercury is one of the most toxic substances known to man. It should not have a place in any vaccine for anyone of any age.” Yes mercury is toxic but is way under the safety threshold and there is no more mercury in a can tuna than a flu vaccine. http://www.lifescientist.com.au/article/320655/csl_speaks_vaccination_myths

So scare mongering article with no science in.

And yes i will have no concerns in taking the jab if offered it.

Any one who fears that this vaccine has been researched enough then read this link http://www.theness.com/neurologicablog/?p=784 and it will put your mind at rest.

I got the t-shirt from play so I'm sorted!

We'll all end up like I am legend and be a population of zombie vampire people lol...

Not really interested in the injection, couple of my friends are diabetic and qualify for the injection and they said they won't get it, but they don't go for the seasonal flu injection either... think it's really down to personal choice...
