Had mine installed yesterday and just testing news.virginmedia.com with Grabbit. So fast it's mental

That's running 30 threads on a wired connection.

I hate you all :(

Virgin stops 5 doors away from me (new estate built upon an existing one). I very much doubt that Virgin will ever lay anymore pipes (unless anyone else is in the know ?)

Don't Virgin throttle during peak hours? Not much good if you download stuff all the time.

I was going to go for 20mb, only did 50 because of the no limits thing. Overkill even for me. Apparently they're trialling 200mb locally:?

Nice.. that was the one thing that was stopping me getting it (Well, that and the price :-D), don't want any throttling going on...
I'm using Be at the moment, cant fault the service and cost me £12/month for about a 13mb service.

Should be getting 10Mb/s and although 4 is the most I think I've ever had, it's usually around 1 or 2 :(

i know someone whos had cable laid to the roadside then had to take the cable to the property themselves, however it was three flats so the issue there is they actually understood by virgin that there was revenue to be made, get in touch with them, maybe something could be sorted!

Built in B/G...

Wonder if you can get N mini PCI cards that work on Acer laptops as the dongle is a bit of pain tbh.

I'm with Be also, aparently they are trialling 48mb in areas, would be nice if it came to me and they upgraded everyone for free!!

I remembr being so excited when Virgin upgraded me from 512kb to 2mb!!

Shen did you see my speedtest result on the other page? various speed tests never get me over 20meg for some strange reason!?

So tell me your set up can you please, mine is:

Wireless N Router wired to my PC, then the other wire going from the Router to my Modem, latest firmware as well for the Router.

On utorrent i get speeds of up to 5.2 :?
