How do i sync my ipod with a new laptop?

Itunes is telling me I will lose everything on there if I do it, does anybody know a FREE way of keeping all my music, and putting it on the laptop please?

I use copytrans, it cost $19.99 but it last forever on as many computers as you want to use and is quick and easy to use (even I can do it!)

She said FREE.

Its been a while since I did it and I don't have my ipod to hand.

From memory I think you install all the itunes software.. reboot windows.. go into task manager and cancel the process for the iTuneshelper.exe.. Then with your ipod set to disk mode you plug it in.. copy all the files in the itunes music directory onto your computer.. unplug the ipod.. reboot.. then plug it back in.. it will wipe your ipod but you can then copy all the files back in.. possibly you have to scan for them with itunes and put them into your library to get them back on.. Can't remember clearly now.. Sod paying for software though, theres bound to be something free that will do it out there.. :)

yeh as above, as long as you get the files onto your computer from your ipod then you can import them into itunes and they will sync everytime

http://www.yamipod.com/main/modules/home/ this is a great free programme which will let you transfer all your songs from your ipod onto your pc

Download idump. Select which music you want to import onto your computer, delete what you dont want. Sync iPod. Simples.

I had the same problem earlier today- Used Senuti- fantastic program and worked a treat. So pleased! Not sure if it just does movies or music though.... xxxx
