Hey guys, it states on my contract that it ends on the 03/03/2010 and says im eligible for an upgrade in february... So could I claim my upgrade then renew my contract but not the same one i've been on... i get 700 mins and unlimited texts but i would like to change to the SOLO 15 which is 350 mins and unlimited texts.

Anyone know if i could do this ? I've also been thinking about going on o2 but I won't be able to claim the upgrade then will I ?

Cheers.

i would phone them and see what the best deal they can offer rather than do an upgrade online as had friend do this and all she got was same as a new customer where as when i phoned for mine they did a good deal (with o2 but tend to be same) you can then phone o2 and see if they can do a similar deal to what you have been offered to get your custom

i cant see why not if you phone them. i went from a £35 200txt and 200mins contract to a lg renoir (was one of top phones at time lol) with 1000 mins, unlimited txt and unlimited internet for £20 because i wanted to downgrade my minutes cause i dont use them lol this way i still dont use them but i still saving money. it would all depend on the phone that you want as to whether it is available on the contract that you want but they usually give you a dearer contract with money off (mine is a £35 a month contract for £20)

The contract i want is SIM ONLY mate so i just wanna get the upgrade from my 18month contract, and ditch that and go on the simonly :?

if you dont contact them they wont cancel it or even contact you about an upgrade, they'll just keep charging you the same monthly amount for the same minutes and texts, if you want to move to a sim only contract you cant upgrade your phone, if you ugrade you're tied in for another 12/18 month, if you tell them you want to cancel they will probably either give you more minutes and texts for what you pay now or the same minutes and texts at a reduced rate and a new phone

you would think that but a few year ago my mate was on an 18 month orange contract that lasted about 30 month before his D500 broke, when he phoned orange he was told that he was on thier highest upgrade band and could have any phone he wanted, he took a D900 the fool!

When the term runs out (18 months etc) it drops in to a rolling 30 day contract, because you have to give 30 days notice to end...

No you won't get a new phone if u turn to sim only!!!
banned#12
if you upgrade you are effectively signing a new 12/18 month contract so they more than likely wont change you to solo after this for at least 12 months
#13
surely if you go to sim only you just get the sim:?
