Nowhere.
Check their T&C and look for the bit about misprices, and what constitutes a contract.

what do you need to know?

well did you take them up on the "offer" or did you just "see" it

How were you offered the upgrade? If you signed up to a new contract or upgraded, you should be able to log into your account and view how many minutes, texts and extra's you get.

If these are not what you were offered when you took out the contract and your within a cooling off period (if you done it online, you might be able to use the distance selling laws), you could cancel it.

Are you saying that you upgraded to a tariff that sounds too good to be true and when they find out, they will reduce it?

Was this an upgrade offer through ya online account? So you sign in and it gave you upgrade options..

What was the offer?

Have T-Mobile disputed it or are u just worried it may not go through?

took it, that how I got a reference number.

i took the offer but my account has never changed, and never got the phone, but the Desire is always out of stock anyway.

yep through my log in account

desire 12 month contract for £130

T mobile still not sent out, person said on phone (via a t mobile shop) that there is nothing on screen but the reference number does check out.

See what happens.. Once it arrives - Check.. You've got a ref number.. Don't enquiry about it to much now, as it may well flag it.. Just let there more automated process go through, it may still get caught.. But if not, quids in.

If they send it out under the agreed upgrade - keep it.. If not, send it back..

Desire 12 month for £130? - Exactly what was the offer.. 12 months for £x? any up front cash?

Happened to me in january.
I was on an 18mth mobile broadband tariff (£15 for 3GB) with vodafone.
NEVER went over.
No intention to continue it after the 18 months as didnt use it as much as i expected.
Emailed in for cancellation, got a confirmation of 30 day notice per usual but they recommended me to look at their upgrade offers.

I had a gander and there were phones in there that even customer support said shouldnt be there (I rang to confirm) such as N97(I think) and Blackberry Bold 9700. These were only free on £30/£35+ and the woman basically called me a liar.

Not only were they FREE upgrades but the site also let me choose my upgrade as a 12 month contract, not an 18. So effectively getting a years internet + a blackberry bold (which i chose) for £180.

I ordered thinking it'd be flagged, 5 months on, I still have it, no phonecalls or anything. Contract runs out in 7 months, upgrade in 4, I'll be trying it again too.

You should have just gone to a T-Mobile store mate, I picked one up from the Croydon branch on Monday. What was your tarrif though? They were asking £360 for the Desire on a £25pm 24 month contract...

why you asked, quote:-

and i said yep £130 for the phone, 12 month contact, continue my current contract (£20 a month.)

Exactly - you never stated how much per month..

For example:

If you were paying £40 a month already... It's not much a great deal..

As i said earlier - wait and see if it gets delivered and they contract is activated.. If so.. Ya quids in.. If not.. Nothing lost.
