i placed an order with talktalk a month ago and was told my line would be installed within 2 weeks.
i arrived home one day to find that an engineer had been out and i would have to resceduale. i was peed of as i hadnt been told they were coming (stated on my welcome pack was the fact they send a text the day before)
got on to them and they said they had sent a text a week prior... but to the wrong number. was told would have it rescedualed. waited a week, called again, only to find they hadnt edited my number!!
again was told line instilation would be rescedualed.
(bare with me im gettin there....)
arrived home today to find a letter saying they have called my talktalk service. again, i called them, to be told that they had cancelled it 2 weeks prior!! so those other times id rang id been lied to...

what are my rights?? ive asked to speak to somebody higher and im now waiting for then to call me back

When I had problems with BT, I emailed their MD etc and it was sorted out within a day! I had over £90 written off as they'd messed up.

Anyway, I've found this for you-
http://www.connectotel.com/marcus/ceoemail.html

Press CTRL and F on your keyboard and it does a search of that page, and type in Talktalk, and it's the MD's email address. Email him and complain about the way youv'e been messed around and that you're not happy and very upset about the hassle and that you really wanted to go with them etc etc. If you kinda praise their charges but then complain about how badly you've been treated- it should work in your favour x x x

i really could have done with it being installed before xmas as i live on my own and im preg! damn them!!!

Put that in your complaint, how it's your only way of communication, and as you're pregnant at christmas time it's really unfair. If you need any help drafting up the email, just let me know and I'll give you a hand (send me a message on here) x x x

well they called me back... eventually. and the women was so rude!! she was ment to be the team manager or sumthing, but ive been spoken to better at maccy d's!!! got put thru to a luvly guy hus sendin a letter to head office to try and get me sum compo. still gna fone the complaints department tho....

Are you getting a new line installed, or is talktalk taking over your line from another provider??

To be honest I've been better! I gave birth to a beautiful little girl on the 18th September and haven't gone back on my anti-depressants so have been really up and down with depression and anxiety. I have mainly good days with the depression but anxiety's through the roof :x Still trying to work through it though. Also I've got a low immune system so everything my son catches from nursery, I get for twice as long as the kids!! Had to have flu and swine flu jabs and told I may need another lot as my immune systems poop. Lucky old me!! lol Anyway, enough whinging, how are you?
I'm trying to remember (memories giving up on me and I'm only 22...) was it your child before that had the dodgy guy having around outside their school? If it was, has it been sorted? Message me!! x x

And OP, sorry for hijacking the thread :p and I hope it's sorted for you. I'd still email the bloke though, because the "nice guy" at the end of the phone could have just been paying you lip service. It's best that you do it yourself as you know that it's been sent and if he has emailed, then at least that's 2 lots of emails sent. Also, have you been phoning 0845 numbers? Talk talk don't do the work though, it's BT Openreach who do it, BT own the exchanges and won't let talk talk touch it.
