Is it just me or is anyone else having problems with the wireless for TalkTalk. I'm connected via Ethernet and that works fine, but the WLAN light on my router is off and wont connect, I've reinstalled, restarted, reset it and it still wont come on, I've also gone into my router settings and everything seems fine there.
I'm just wondering if it could be something on their end? I'm in SE London area if that helps.

We had had no internet for 6 days and its been an absolute nightmare trying to get help, any way yesterday someone rang me after checking the normal things like filters, we went through my belkin account and put in our password and username and it all came back on, when I asked her wat the problem was she said those parts had been removed some how.
Ant way when my son went on the ps3 the security had gone off there too, we think because we upgraded our account it some how removed all our security.So try doing that,

We've been disconnected from the internet for up to 2 weeks at one point and that was down to them and that wasnt the first time, I was just wondering if it could be something like that again but with their wireless networks or could just be my router starting to pack up.
On the phone with them right now gonna see what they say.

my friend had sim prob with hers.she ended up reinstalling it onto her pc after 2 fruitless hours to talk talk

Theres always something with TalkTalk, if only reinstalling it worked for me.

Talk talks job is to get the internet to your house, if you have a crap router or set it up wrong that's not their problem.

talktalk are notorious for line drops, if the op's router has been working then the router is configured correctly and working as it should be.

In a nutshell talktalk are total crap!

The "crap" router would be one of theirs, and I have been using it for more than a year with 5 different things connected to it and never had any problems with it, the only problems I do have has always been on their end. I think I know how to set up a router so that is not the problem.

Never had any real problems with talktalk - sometimes i notice a dip in my download speed but thats about it.

wireless router i had from them was totally useless if you had the same model i did, (urgh dont remember what it was but i would recognise if i saw the name)

you could play with the settings on 192.168.1.1 and change the channel which may help among other things

i joined o2 after having to suffer tiscali/talktalk for a year lol

We have nothing but trouble with talktalk, after five years of perfect service with Virgin - it is true that you get what you pay for.
We have had no internet and no dialling tone with talktalk on and off, and when I spoke to them about it they basically said I had no right to complain about the lack of internet as my internet service is free - even though I am paying £6.99 a month, that is apparently for my phone service (free weekend calls) with the free internet as an add-on. Same for the 'unlimited' service - it is the all-in phone calls you are paying for, with 'free' internet. So they told me.
I said I wanted to move suppliers because of the terrible service, and they said I have to pay £70 if I want out before my 18 months are up, so I am putting up with it and reporting every tiny fault until either they kick me off or the contract is up. Then I am gone!

I agree with dcx, talktalk have nothing to do with your wireless network apart from supplying the wireless router.
