Tank Museum anyone know how to get a discount

Father-in-law wants to take my sons to the Tank Museum in Dorset today. Both kids have said they want to stay at home (cos its boring) but I'm looking at £50 entry for the family. I'm a bit reluctant to spend £50 on a day out that the kids are not really interested in.

Are there any vouchers, or do the locals know of any ways in that get me in for free

Cheers Phil, I saw that, but Tank Museum doesn't offer any discount from the vouchers.

The problem is we have a 4yr old (gets in free) a 6 yr old £7 and 4 adults (£11 each) this totals £51
If I buy the family ticket £29 then 2 further adult tickets (£11 each) this also totals £51 ....doh!

Then you'd be doing a public service, surely that should qualify you for a discount

Find someone who has already been and borrow their "membership"
I think it gives you reentry to the museum for a year.

Yeah unfortunately everything this week is 'boring' the only thing they are excited about is the ticket machine where they have to collect 10000 tickets for a toy car. Very expensive so far

Thanks guys when I get back on the lappy I'll rep you all. I ended up paying full price, but the missus realised that her parents were able to get in as OAPS so we got a bit off.

But quite frankly it is the most boring waste of space pile of poo I have visited since the glasgow dinosaur museum. I dont think I'm a museum kinda guy, they bore the tits off me.

It's either you live it or hate it place! I have a 6 year old son and he loves it! BUT i also think it's a bit unfait at the mo, cos they're still charging full price but there is limited stock. Before they started the works, it was much bigger. Let's hope it'll grow in size 4 fold when it re opens properly!

Did that yesterday, £5 parking, £5 for ice creams, £7.50 for a dinghy, £5.99 for a foot pump, and it was the best day ever, even with the moaning mother-in-law

Like most attractions in this country, they overdo it with the charges. My husband and I just noticed how much it would cost us and, being pensioners have decided against it! Surely they must realise that at a fiver each a lot more people would visit.
