Tattoos and sexiness

Seems some people are of the narrow view that a tattoo inevitably renders any woman unsexy/trashy/chavvy regardless of any other factors.

I personally think that the right tattoo on the right person is actually an extension of their personality and very cool.

I also think that those who get a tattoo only to conform are exceedingly boring and it serves as a nice warning sign.

I like tattoos and really appreciate the art but too many people just walk in and choose some crappy flash off the wall. If your going to get something done be original and make it personal.

From Wikipedia:

Von D was classically trained in piano beginning at age 6, and began listening to Misfits, The Ramones, and other punk rock at age 12.[4] She particularly appreciates Ludwig van Beethoven and Space Station Wagon.[4] Von D has tattooed herself with the emblems of the bands HIM, Turbonegro, ZZ Top, AC/DC, Slayer, and "Slutallica", a modified Metallica logo

V.sexy indeed:thumbsup:

That is my point. Tattoos should be about individuality and so many tattoos are just boring and conformist.

Most of the girls with tattoos on their lower backs might as well have got a Tesco label for all the individualism they have.

Sexy? Yes. Anything to do with the tat. No ! Personally not a fan. Don't and won't have one.

Not for me I'm afraid. Not that I'm against tattoos and women but not the picture you've shown. The girl is well sexy and deserves a beautiful elegant tattoo, not something that looks like a scripture from the bible down her side!!

For me:
Girls tattoos should be pretty, elegant, sweet & feminine. Not like they've just finished down the building site or self done while in prison!!

Because I can quite honestly say that I've never seen a tattoo on a girl's lower back that had any meaning to it. Maybe I've been looking in the wrong places, but to me that kind of need to fit in is such a massive turn off.

people have their childrens name's tattoo'd and thats meaningful to them, what is you opinion of that? (curious) :)

its not neccessarily a need to fit in though, its a fairly practical place to have one, you might want a tatto but not want it to be on display 100% of the time, like me - when i get mine it will be on my upper arm near shoulder

i agree with you that most of the ones on a girls lower back are tacky and simply "fashion" but i know few girls with tattoo's there that mean something

I guess if the wearer of the tattoo is happy then the only sad thing is the unrelated people spending time whinging about how they dont like it :p

I'm not going to say you're shallow.

I think the whole kid's names tattoo thing is a bit silly, but there is some meaning there for them. I can't say I'd feel the need to get my child's name tattooed on my person as i don't think that would be appropriate for me. I'm not sure how aesthetically appealing I'd find it.

well i'm in no doubt that I would fit your stereotype but I really only had mine as a pretty adornment, now I come to think of it tho a blank sudoku grid would have been far more helpfull. :whistling::whistling:

Your kids are going to be always with you, so I don't mind them as long as there done professionally. The same doesn't apply for putting b/f g/f husbands and wives. Relationships change too quickly and you're then stuck with a name on your body of someone you hate, or have to try and cover.

I have toyed with the idea of having my squids name's popped onto the one I already have but uming and ahing mainly because Im happy with the neatness of the one I have and not sure I want more. Maybe should have waited til after having kids to have had tatoo :)

In denoting blankness? Maybe, maybe not.

i dont have any but i like pretty ones. like a rose on the shoulder etc. and the bracelet ones.
I like maybe one or 2 on a man but not loads. none on the face i feel that does look wrong.
