Handmade card and flowers/chocolate.
#3
you cant really go wrong with chocolate!

being married to a female teacher buy something you would like yourself,
anything that has my best teacher on it is probably to be avoided and honestly it may seem boring but flowers ,chocolate or wine is always more welcome than you would think

Our teachers like chocolate, wine and cake! Sometimes we make cakes at home and take them in for one of our favourite teachers. lol.

Also I often give a voucher for M&S - our reception teacher last year was fabulous and I really appreciated his efforts in the class room.

You know.. sometimes the simplest idea can go a long way.

Sounds like you want your daughter to give the present.

1) Get the teacher an apple.
or
2) Help your daughter pick some flowers (legally! and above board). Daisey chain necklace or something.

3) Avoid giving a banana .. incase she is the teacher in this article:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/5540615/School-bans-bananas-over-teacher-allergy.html

If its an older daughter .. chocs might be in the right direction.

Good luck!

lol!

When teachers get chocolates at our school they put em in the staffroom for the rest of the staff, get something personal, like smellies or candles

Being from a family of teachers, in my experience you tend to get so much chocolate in July you can't give it away. Flowers are always nice, but something the child has made is just as special if not more so.

I would go for something like a handmade card and little personal gift. Teachers (mainly primary school teachers) get LOADS of chocolate at the end of the year, and give most of it away because there are only so many chocolates the teacher and family can eat.

Get your daughter to make a card, and then write in it some of the things she has enjoyed doing this year. It will be personal, give her ideas of what to do with the kids next year, and show a lot of thought. Things like this mean more than the usual gifts.

If she likes apples get a bottle of strong cider (white lightening ?) just mind the kids don't get too
