Need some help getting Adobe Flash Player onto my laptop. Everytime I try to installation gets to about 2% and stops. I've uninstalled whatever previous version was on, as the Adobe website recommends and everything else, but it still doesn't work.

Any help/advice greatly appreciated!

[FONT=Verdana]Clear out your temporary internet files and cookies along with doing a reboot.

In addition to that check out your event logs (assuming it's a Windows OS) to see if there are any errors listed - also are you doing the install via a local account, which has administrative privileges?

BTW which internet browser are you using?

Cheers, Scotty Boy!

Firefox. Cleared everything earlier with no joy. Where will I find the event logs / administrator privileges? It's ages since I had a computer to mess about with!

[FONT=Verdana]Use the Event Viewer MMC, which can be accessed via Administrative Tools within the Control Panel.

It's confusing/annoying as I've managed to install Firefox without any problems, so I can install programs.

I have news to share. After 2 hours (!!!!!!) it finally installed. I almost cried after it got to 65% and crashed, said it failed the integrity check, but would I like to resume. After pressing resume, it flew to 100% and it's done. :w00t:

The website said it should take 2 minutes on a 56k modem. What the hell has gone wrong with mine?!
