Tech project - kitchen

After looking at small tvs for the kitchen I thought it would be a good idea to have a pc in there so I could also watch media from my server, listen to music and look up recipes on the internet.

Not sure I want the expense and clutter you get from a whole pc. I've recently upgraded my monitor to a 24 inch one and have the old 17 inch in the loft, was thinking of mounting that one on the wall and connecting it to the desktop upstairs, is this possible?

Would also need to think of keyboard and mouse, and some way of connecting the speakers I already have in the kitchen to it. (presume whatever I was watching the sound would also come out upstairs?)

Anybody done this? Or have any tips?

How about a net top with Nvidia Ion2? Small enough to stick under a cupboard etc.

Why not get an iPad and wall mount?

If your feeling wealthy you can get inductions hobs which turns into a touch screen pc when no pots are placed on it. You can be cooking in one side and have a recipe on the other side.
My company has one in the showroom in Germany.

Having just bought a second revo I'm not sure my wife would go for a third!

Was hoping to cobble something together out of all of the random bits I have kicking around.

IPad would be a bit pricey and limited for my needs

Hob idea sounds great, but pricey

if your technically minded then you want something like this, there is another good example I've seen but cant find it.

That is epic. Love some of the home builds that appear online, some clever people out there.

OP I was going to suggest a Revo - I'm sure you could justify the third ;)
