Ok, Im trying to get on to a website, I know it exists & I know its not 'busy' Ive been trying for over a week, cant get on to it at all.
I get the message that says 'make sure ur connected' 'maybe the sites busy' but it also says 'I f your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web ' - how do i sort this out?!!

Any help greatly appreciated!

its www.squishygraphics.com (they do forum signatures n stuff)
It appears to have stopped working since I go mozilla firfox. wont open with IE7 any more either
#3
seems to not work for me either, I would be wary, they don't even have a proper email address, just a gmail one

So it is the site thats down then! I know the site well so I trust them. You dont 'pay' anything, its just like a hobby site that u get free forum signatures from, they use ur photos.

Works fine for me, I'm using Firefox and Zone Alarm
#6
Grr! How do I get Firefox to let me access the site??
#7
Works fine for me and I'm on IE7.
They have quite a lot of members.

Works fine for me using IE and Firefox. If it still won't let you then check that your Firefox is upto date.

Only downloaded firefox last wk so it should be the latest version i wouldve thought....

Failing that, maybe your Internet Provider is banning their IP address for some reason.
#11
How would I check that? Sorry for being so thick! lol

I haven't the foggiest. LOL. It was just a suggestion plucked out of thin air. :-D

Have you tried Internet Explorer as well?
#13
yeah, wont work through that either.
#14
Could it be that it's your firewall that's causing the problem, which one do you use?
#15
Works for me in Firefox too....

It can't be the "If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web" as if you didn't have access to the web you couldn't view here!

It sounds like it could be a DNS server issue, If they've recently moved servers then your connection might be stuck on the old I.P address, Thats what happened on one of my local forums, So its a possibility....

Can you ping the site - 208.109.181.6. This will tell you if you can contact it at all and could narrow it down to a software problem.

What ISP are you with? It's worth checking. Bazzaric can't access it either so if bazzaric doesn't mind you could see if you both have the same ISP

Possibly. I'm not sure if an ipconfig/flushdns might help

Works for me too - no issues

Using Firefox 2.0.0.6

Turn off your firewall & try again (then we can elimiate one thing at a time)
