nope, all images are copyrighted you need to get in writing an agreement that you can use the images for non-commercial purposes.

?? i didn't say anything about copyright. Yes, of course the copyright stays with the originator, but with royalty free images you typically obtain a license that you can use the images in whatever way you choose.

With Royalty-Free you need to read the terms and conditions that came with the image, as that will state what you can and can't do with it. It does not mean you can do what you like with them.. An example of what would be in the t&c is listed below.

"We hereby grant to You a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Image on the terms and conditions explained in this Agreement and on the Image preview page. "

You may use the Image
*In digital format on websites, multimedia presentations, broadcast film and video, cell phones.
*In printed promotional materials, magazines, newspapers, books, brochures, flyers, CD/DVD covers, etc.
*Along with your corporate identity on business cards, letterhead, etc.
*To decorate your home, your office or any public place.

You may not use the Image
*For pornographic, unlawful or other immoral purposes, for spreading hate or discrimination, or to defame or victimise other people, sociteties, cultures.
*To endorse products and services if it depicts a person.
*In a way that can give a bad name to *** or the person(s) depicted on the Image.
*As part of a trademark, service mark or logo.
*SELLING AND REDISTRIBUTION OF THE IMAGE (INDIVIDUALLY OR ALONG WITH OTHER IMAGES) IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN! DO NOT SHARE THE IMAGE WITH OTHERS!

The above posts are correct

In law you would have to pay damages as a claim that you didn't know it was copyrighted or had exclusions won't work

If you can take your own or read any small print very carefully...
