Just wondering if anyone has seen it yet? Or going?

Been a big fan of the first two, third was ok.

Any one got any expectations about it?

No more associating with the riff raff.

I can only go watch gripping films there though...... anything pants and I'd fall asleep, in those seats its sooooooo easier to do...

*presses button* "excume me garcon...... more beer" *reclines* only way to watch a film

Oh yeah, wouldn't go and see a drama or comedy there... thats what torrents are for ;)
It has to be loud and full of action to warrant GC at £15 a pop (x 2).

agreed....... only 2 films warrent it for me this year as far as I can see, terminator and transformers 2.

I may go as far as going to watch any disney pixar film there too, just so theres not a load of kids to annoy me  (but thats more work than recreational visit, well thats what I tell everyone)

Or Star Trek. Supposed to be quite good too, would be nice with free popcorn.

I saw QofS and Knowing, all free with Nectar points. That wiped out our entire balance though, so we've not been in a while!!

It would be even better if they leave in Bale's rant to the DP

near enough ties it all together too, but theres still room for a number 5 :-D

with all that goes on it's well worth watching at the cinema just for the sound

Nice loud explosions to keep the less discerning happy, but it's a pretty poor film and doesn't even come close to the first two films.

Sam Worthington is going to be a star though, and Anton Yelchin was good but Christian Bale really does phone this in and there are a lot of pointless characters.

Could've been worse.

Its was never going to be as good as the first or second film..... they both had ground breaking visual fx, but even in those the story was lacking.... its an action film the nice loud explosions are what make it, so take it for what it is, take your brain out for an hour and half and stop expecting schindlers list.

Action films can still be smart too - the studios just don't think they need to bother.

thats becuase most fo the time they dont need too.... most anticipated film of the year? Transformers 2, story line - typical good versus evil, between alien robots that can transform into vehicles...... dunno about you but that storyline has me gripped! give optimus prime an oscar for most dramatic performance of a GCI big rig truck!

Its a hit becuase it brings the audience's youth to the present while pushing the boundries of special effects...... there's bound to be lots of loud bangs so i suggest you give that one a miss, perhaps bridget jones diary 3 would be more to your liking? :whistling:

I've already stated that I liked the first two Terminator films so trying to characterise me as someone who only likes badly written British rom-coms is bizarre.

I also quite liked the first Transformers film. Not the smartest film, but it rattles along without any large gaps in logic and is very entertaining.

Now you've reminded me how entertaining that film was, I actually like Terminator Salvation even less.

The fact it feels the need to keep explaining everything very slowly to the audience slows down the action and is actually a bit patronising.

I've not decided yet as I'm still in mourning over the cancellation of the sarah connor chronicles. Part of me wants to see another terminator movie but another part of me feels as if I'd be cheating on tscc, furthermore by not going I could be adding to demise of the franchise and ultimately any hope of a tscc renewal. Decisions decisions.

Nevermind all thats going on in the world this is truly a dilemma for the ages.
