I didn't get anything either but was in Tesco's today and I see they live by their slogan "Every little helps", only problem was some things weren't so little and the only people being helped appeared to be the shareholders :-(

e.g.
Tesco deep filled mince pies - were 2 for 99p on bogof, now 2 for £1.50
- price change +50%

Tesco Value Chocolate digestives - were 25p, now 27p
- price change +8%

Tesco flavoured sparling water 1l, was 2 for 51p on bogof, now 3 for £1.45
- price change +89%

Tesco Value still/sparkling water 2l - was 17p, now 21p
- price change +23.5%

Fox's Creations biscuit tin 800g, was 2 for £8.98 on bogof, now £6.98 each
- price change +55%

Caburys Roses 2.2kg, currently 2 tins for £10 in one store (no stock available), nearby Tesco store with loads of stock 2 tins for £15
- price difference 50%

Birds rum/brandy flavour sauce (powder sachet), was 2 for £1.00, now 64p each (only 24p each in Asda!)
- price change +28%
- price difference to Asda + 166%

These were just a few I noticed; there must have been many others. I left empty handed.

They're obviously preparing for the massive price cut bonanza they'll no doubt be pushing come Boxing Day

Edit:
One more
DanCake Chocolate log, was 70p (apparently discountinued line, but obviously got more stock in), now 88p
-price change+25%

LOL I have to say I found that last year. There was no January sales to speak of, and I came home empty handed.
I do my shopping though out the year, and pick up bargins all year around. Saying that I think I might just save for xmas next year and keep money in an online high interest account and buy online next year as this is the second year I have bought over 70% of my gifts online and saved loads compaired to the highstreet.

Well, since ive found this site, i think ill be picking up bargains all year round since im part of the :viking: crew!

Already bought some presents for sisters birthday in april :whistling:

Pressie cupboards are great things too. We have one that is stashed full of odds and ends for any age and most occasions. My excuse when I buy good deals but not sure who to give them to yet.
Real handy when you forget a birthday or kids come home saying they have a party tommorow. My hubbie thinks I am crazy because I buy all the kids clothes a year/size in advance in the end of season sales, but I think it saves us a fortune. Long like the bargain hunters!

:giggle: i think the forum should be changed to :

The Viking clans den! :viking:

Im glad i found this place before it became popular and hitting the headlines like now!

Going to post a big thanks shortly, as my son, family and friends, have more and better presents this year (i know xmas isnt all about pressies!) thanks to the posts on here, im really grateful :)

I also buy something and think, who am i buying it for, but, oh well :)

Oooooh on reading your reply again i see you also buy yur kids clothes in advance - im THAT bad that ive bought my son some stuff upto like size 10, and hes only 2  only basics mind, to make sure there not out of fashion, like jeans etc.

Yeah it basics I mainly stick too (not 8 years in advance I have to say but do have some clothes for are age 5 and 6), most is timeless things, girls are 0, 2, and 3 yo and boy 16.

Yeah site is great I have been using it since months but only registered a few weeks ago if it was even that. Felt guilty not been registered and desided to show myself, typical though I have hardly found a deal of my own since to put on here, maybe I just spend more time on here than I used to I suppose.

:giggle: i think ive only posted possibly 5 deals, maybe a couple more, thats about it, when i find a deal its already been found!
I also appear to be the bottom of everyones email mailing list so get caught there too!

Oh well, every little helps, least i contribute by posting absolute rubbish!

I cant help myself, i like to have stock, just incase etc, i have stock of everything, and i hardly ever buy one, it has to be 2 of everything :giggle: :whistling:

:giggle: much in such with (min) 2 of everything :giggle: except toilet rolls I need 30-50 in reserve with my crew! Saying that as I live 10 miles from a local shop and 30+ from a supermarket I need to buy everything in bulk. Hubbie still thinks I am crazy though (until we run out if he has been left to the shopping for a week or too)

I buy various things to get tesco points when they are on offer, the vouchers they give online for like 500 or 1000 points. Buy all the BOGOF's. Anyone care for about 7 litres of conditioner? :?

:giggle: I see we would get on well then! I also see the advantages of living like this. I stock pile things I like that are on offer so by the time I run out they are on offer again :-D I also but thing I don't like if they give me enough tesco points, as they are worth loads more on deals and makes it worth it. So I just give away the thing I don't like or can't use :santa:

Between this kind of living and doing surveys online for money/vouchers in my spare time I do quite will on pocket money/savings at the end of a year!
