Tesco Clubcard Vouchers worth £££ on eBay!

I just traded in £60 worth of Tesco Clubcard Vouchers for Nationwide vouchers (£240 worth) and wandered if people were selling these vouchers on eBay.

To my surprise they go for between 2x - 3x the value of the vouchers!! eBay item 180385470741 for example, one guy paid £510 for £187 worth of vouchers! I would have thought that if you were paying nearly 3x the value for these vouchers, then any discount would be lost!

The thing I found with Tesco Clubcard Vouchers is that although they may give you up to 4x the value, you can only use them towards an inflated price. For example, I have found it cheaper to purchase RAC + magazine subscriptions using discount codes than using Tesco Clubcards.

its still saving money regardless how much. Not everyone can get so many clubcard points so buying them is a way of saving money. If he was to use them for something 4x the value he would have still saved 238 pound! :)

That case wasn't an exception. People have these set up as BIN for just over twice the value of the vouchers.

Because vouchers are a scammers target on ebay, so they always go for high amounts, so the economy is false, they are an easy way to rinse cash. If you have a hacked paypal account and want the quickest return, get vouchers, if you are scamming people on ebay with goods that will never turn up, quickest way to get cash out of the pp account before it's closed is to spend it on ebay, so vouchers again are targetted as they are as good as cash.
E vouchers are also popular as you cannot prove delivery.....

A lot of people use them to convert to airmiles - the airmiles scheme that tescos run is rubbish - but you can convert them with BA. £2.50 worth of Tescos clubcard vouchers is wort 600 airmiles. It mounts up really quickly and is the best use of the vouchers in my opinion!
