Are you sure? Tescos buy up supermarket sized property to stop others getting in. They have done this twice in my area. One huge store has been vacant for over a year!

I have a tesco direct locally, it does essentials and beer but not dvds. And yes their prices are higher than my local Co-op. 4 pintsof milk in tesco express is 20p dearer than in my local coop or the big tescos.

Tourist show offers free entrance

One of Nottingham's best-known tourist attractions which is facing closure within a fortnight is offering free entry to boost visitor numbers.

The Tales of Robin Hood is the only attraction in Nottingham dedicated to the folk hero but claims rent increases have caused serious money problems.

Chief executive Ian Walker urged people to visit the attraction to "see if it was worth saving".

It is estimated the site brings in £2m to Nottingham every year.

begads I didn't think that was possible:?

Yeah one out our way is expensive also.
There is also a petrol station attached to it and they wont let you use your tesco card saying its because its esso operated the swines.

Tesco direct doesn't sell milk

Tesco express are pretty poor, there usually in petrol statons linked with esso, there smaller than metros so think of it as a paper shop.

thanks for that Holly......very interesting.
wouldnt surprise me if they did put another Tesco express in that building as a lot of student accomodation has been built in the surrounding area and it is close to a college.
Tales of Robin Hood is OK but not a brilliant attraction IMO. Im surprised it has lasted this long

They have supposedly bought up 57 woolworths stores so tesco will be popping up in a few places.
