Tesco for schools vouchers....and ebay?

Are these legit?

My daughter goes to a really small school and dont normally collect as they never get a lot but have seen something they want to save for this year.

I've just seen numerous listings for these vouchers, lots of 50, but where have these people got them from and would they be ok to buy?

I suspect they work for tesco

Sometimes when I spend over £30 at shopping and they ask if I want them I end up with a big bunch. Guess the cashier just wants rid of them.

Supposed to be 1 for each £10 spent.

Why would you want to buy something that's free? Just put a note on freecycle or ask your neighbours for theirs...

Don't most people say no thank you, the next person who says yes gets the lot from all the people who say no. I suspect these have been stolen from tesco though.

I cannot believe people would sell or even buy these school vouchers!

# One voucher is given for every £10 spent in Tesco stores and petrol filling stations in a single transaction (excluding purchases from Concessions, Tobacco Kiosk, prescription medicines, infant formulae or the sale of National Lottery tickets and scratch cards).
# One voucher is given for every £5 spent in Tesco Express stores (subject to the above exclusions).

They will be legit - no one is hardly going to commit crime of the century printing tesco vouchers for schools surely?? I'm always asked if I want them or the person in front doesn't want them do I etc. Sometimes they give you more than they should. Plus if you're in Tesco all the time they soon mount up. Don't you get them for petrol as well?

Ebay sellers sell anything for a quick buck - so its no surprise they're selling these.

They aren't free, but thanks for idea about asking on freecycle.

I wasnt looking for these on ebay, I just came across them, and for £1.49 for 50 that would mean £500 worth of shopping - I explained in opening why I wanted to buy them but apologies if I've offended you

After all the groceries and petrol of a family they vouchers do stack up pretty quickly. I too was a bit shocked at people selling the vouchers, it seems a bit wrong. We don't need them but always collect and give them to a friend's little boy to take to school, he gets excited counting them and competes with his friends as to who can get the most - oh the joys of childhood when Tesco Vouchers excite you lol.

I don't know for sure how much these vouchers are worth to the school but I would of thought a donation of £1.49 would be of more value to them than 50 vouchers
