delivery charge is £3.50 for some things that are coming today but while in store this morning i noticed that only a couple of the items are in stock... they are only cheap things.. if the delivery comes and they only have a couple of the things i want can i refuse delivery ... and will i be charged for it ... sorry never used them before

if they substitute with higher priced things i can say no i dont want them though ... but i have to pay £3.50 anyway... is that right

Tescos dont do price match, only asda do that, for absolute definate, i ask for substitutes and they do it for higher priced items but you pay the higher price no price match

Wrong! My order has just come, i ordered various stuff for 60 quid, the finest toiletries were like 49p etc, they were substituted with £7.40 items!
If you read my post in the original thread wifey, it will tell you what i done :)

You can refuse delivery if you want and you would get a full refund (eventually).

However the Home shoppers pick your items very early in the morning (about 4am) so there is usually enough stock for home shopping orders. I'd be suprised if a lot of items were out of stock.

I'm not sure if it would be the same for asda. I dont work for Asda but I imagine it would be the same.
You cant be charged for something that has not been delivered.

Correct. Tescos have never price matched here either which is why I never accept substitutes. Then again, I now use sainsburys as no tescos codes about and tescos 'fresh' fruit & veg is awful (goes off in a couple of days and is tasteless to start with)

correct that you can refuse delivery. incorrect that they pick the items at 4am. They do it about 2-3 hours before your delivery time.

that cannot be tescos as they do not bill you until they put your order through the checkout (2-3 hours before delivery). It wont show on your account instantly.
