Tesco home delivery

I've got to say how mega happy I am with the Tesco home delivery of groceries!!!!!

I made my first order with the £15 discount code, thanks to hotukdeals!
I picked all the 'buy one get one free' offers and waited for my load of shopping. When it came there was not as much as expected. It was then that I realised I should have been adding two to the box instead of assuming that when I put one item in the box, it would automatically put two!
This was totally my fault for not reading it properly
I thought I would try ringing customer service in the faint hope they would be able to help:oops:

The lovely lady told me that as it was my first time, all the offers I should have had with another free would now be half price!! :-D
Isn't that brilliant???:w00t:
It was my fault but they understood , as a first time customer, that we make mistakes!

Just felt I needed to share how fab they are!!!

If your delivery is made out with your allocated slot, whether it be early or late you can demand your service charge back.

Altho sometimes the CSM will only try and give you half the charge back as a G.O.G.W

I have been using home delivery for 3 years now, never any real problems, and it always works out cheaper due to voucher codes used every time, I say well worth it for less hassle

I always get my delivery charge back when they're late with no problems. Unfortunately they are late 90% of the time so i use Sainsbury's now. :-(

Thats good :) I have always had positive customer service from tesco :)

Surprised they did that though, since it does state on their website that you have to put 2 in the basket (annoys me when the offer starts the day of your shopping - think they should automatically provide 2 if one if supposed to be free)

Wow, 90% of the time, maybe depends on area. I can only recall them being late once for us, and even then only by 10 mins and they rang to say they would be late.

The only problem I have with them is that are always too early!:giggle:

My deliveried for between 9pm and 11pm always come around 8 ish

I have to say their delivery drivers are the best I have encountered anywhere! There is a place on the Tesco website where you can nominate your driver of the year - which is so hard as they are all great!

Best driver of the year, can you vote worst driver ? Have to admit, we did have one occasion when we unpacked our delivery we noticed 1 item we didn't order (or we did, but by mistake, was over £200 worth of food, so could have clicked wrong). We asked the driver if she would take the item back (with a couple of substituted items we that were going back anyway) and she just turned and said in a snotty voice 'make sure you order the right things next time!' wish we had a wet trout to slap her round the head with :)

Our delivery is always early too, but only about 20mins. They always say "Sorry I'm early, is it ok to deliver now or do you want me to come back?" Which I think is good (BTW, I have never sent them away!)

Dont think they will be early anymore though, they now have to unload shopping not in bags, and have only been given an extra minute to do so. They get 7 minutes to park, ring the doorbell, get the stuff out, leave it at the house, take back any subs, complete paperwork, put crates back in van and drive off! Is ridiculous!

Tesco have just started delivering to my area and considering how rural we are they have never been late. the home delivery service saves me so much time because our nearest store is 27 miles, away i would hate to be without it now.

Ive always found them good (apart from the fact they use far to many carrier bags).

The other week I had a dispute about a few things that changed price the day off the delivery amounting to about £10 difference. The guy said he would refund some items adding up to this amount. When I checked my bank a few days later, I found that he had refunded over £30.

All helps.
