hi guys i have a ff128 tesco internet phone and wondered if someone could help me with these questions

the number for my phone does it cost the usual rate i.e if someone was calling from a bt phone which included unlimited uk calls or from a mobile with free minutes would it be included?

is it possible to use the phone for skype and how do you do it?

i have an idea - could i take my laptop abroad and the phone and people could call me as if i was in the uk!???

yer its free to call that number :) even if your in another country and someone rang that number it would be free for them to call you from here.

For skype you gota configure it and when some one rings you , you need to press * or # and dial then you can use the fone, but it wont work full such as ring etc you still have to answer with skype.

If your tesco number begins with 01, 02 etc then the person calling you would only be charged by their comms provider if they are not on a plan that covers landline numbers.

As for the phone being used for skype, yes is the answer to that, you just have to open skype, go to Tools then Options and in the Audio Options along the left hand-side, change the microhone and speakers selection to the FF128/USB phone from the drop down list. This should work as this is how I use my USB phone with Skype. :)

In Skype version 3.8 for windows, in the audio section there are 3 drop down lists...Microphone, Speakers and Ringing. Plug your USB phone into the USB port and let windows recognise it is installed then and entry will appear on the drop down lists. This is what happens with mines :)
