Tescos returns?

So im asking on behalf of a friend.

He bought guitar hero world tour band set back in November from tesco, recently the pads have stopped responding. He was told when he bought it from tescos it had a 12 months warranty on the product with them so if he was to take it back could he get a refund?

any help will be great

dont think you will get a refund probably an exchange if you have the receipt.

yes he probably will tesco not really fussy with refunds as long as you have the reciept

The woman at the customer services till said it was only refundable within 28 days of purchase as it was a game (that's their policy for software). I then went to the electrical department and spoke to the manager and he refunded me, no hassle at all (they didn't have any left in stock to replace it with). I didn't even have the reciept, only a bank statement :-D

Thanks well i'll tell him to do that. Hopefully they will refund him, i don't see why they shouldn't at the end of the day its in warranty with them and its faulty.

What if he tells them he doesn't want another from tesco's?

I'm sure they'd just give you a refund with no questions asked. Supermarkets are usually pretty easy going on refunds and the like. I only encountered a problem because the customer services assistant was misinformed over the fact the guitar hero package was exempt from Tescos returns policy for software.

If you run into problems just try a different member of staff or a different store. If it's faulty, they'd be very unreasonable to not refund you (or at the very least replace it)
