Ok tested mine. First I asked it 2+2. Nothing. Then the capital of France. Again, nothing. Cheers for the heads up, turns out my smoke detector is thick as pig **** :)

Actually, maybe i'm being a bit harsh. It may just be autistic. Think i'd better seek qualified advice on this matter......

The house 3 doors along caught fire on christmas eve 3 years ago. It was a private landlord who changed a 3 up 3 down into a six bed rental. All unofficial. No smoke alarms, one person burnt to death and two others were rescued. A mother and child who lived upstairs were thought to have been killed as well but were seeing family at the time so got away with it. Christmas eve / day the road was full of emergency vehicles. Rumour was that the landlord started the fire for an insurance scam. Get a smoke alarm and check yours now.

We've got 7 smoke alarms, all connected to the mains supply and all working!
#26
We have 2, one works fine I think and other has had battery removed because of the annoying beep noise it makes :whistling:

My older brother is a fireman and hates coming to my house as av got trillions of candles burning. Everyone is entitled to a free fire safety check btw. Just call up your local firestation and they will come along and check out for any potential hazards etc, plus they will fit for free smoke alarms that will last for ten years.

Its worth it just for the visit as I got 6 fireman doing my check lol, and funnily enough all my friends visited that day!
