Just finished running feeds from the Sky HD box to all the rooms (except the bathroom) in the house its taken two days!!! Walls chased cabels run re-plastered and boxs fitted. Just have to re-decorate and that starts next weekend. Anybody else done DIY this weekend?

i thought about it !!! but i really have to get on & do some, my problem is starting , once i start thats it, full steam ahead, but ive got the hallway & stairway to wallpaper & the walls are long drops, laminate flooring in the hall as well.

It was a nightmare to be honest and the worst part was up in the loft feeding it through and asking my wife if I had enough cable and well that how arguments start I have been not been nice :oops: and I feel bad about it

I know what you mean about the arguments, you ask what you think is something simple to do & all hell breaks out ! there should be a seperate section in the diy books on using the wife as a labourer.

That's the best thing to do if you can't do DIY Me i have been in the building trade for over 25 years so its easy

you will have saved yourself an absolute fortune then over the years. We have a guy here today who has hung 5 rolls of paper and also put on new skirting for us - total cost for 6hours work £180 - but no fall outs!

Well yes I do remember we had a new kitchen installed as I did not have the time and everytime I came home at night I was putting things right that I was not happy with. It did not go down well with the company or my Wife:oops:

lol, my wife has no interest at all in computers :p its the kids that are more savvay then me,they must have my brains :-D

ah busmans holiday then, I'm the same with our car, but when it comes to our own, I spend a whole day on it servicing it & anything else it needs & thats it for the year, i dont want to see it again ! unless my wife decides to pull a knob off something !!! :x
