Resting in a row, these three kittens - just a few weeks old - are looking for nothing more than care and friendship.

But they - along with 57 other kittens and 23 adult cats - will be dead within the week, the victims of a the credit crunch.

Their current home normally operates as a last hope for cats, an 'overflow' facility which looks after animals when there is no room at other cat's homes.

But staff say because of the recession and dwindling charity donations the home is now closing down - with no home for the felines.

yes was just think of the little girl dying of cancer, and they need half a million i think to send her to america where the success rate is 90% where as here it is only 20% and the money is needed within 11 days

hope the kitty's find homes....

whatsThePoint
With 1/2 mil they could keep the cat home open with 100% success for not having to put any cats down, so give the money to them as it might be wasted on the kid if only 90% chance

:?still better spent on the kid even if she only had a 10% chance

£500,000 for one dying girl? If they gave that kind of money to help in Africa/Natural Disaster victims then that money would save tens of thousands of lives
In the end that girl will probably die soon anyway so better spend the money on these cats or people who are in greater need

What should be the best answer, is releasing the cats into the wild, where they can have the best quality of life, but they wouldn't do that, even though they call themselves "Animal carers" ha
