Not looking forward to it I want Mr T as BA
#3
I have a terrible feeling this is gonna be dreadful-hope not tho,but it has turkey written all over it.

'Sucks to be you Homey'

Its like some kind of sick joke, Liam Neeson doing some **** poor impression of Hannibal is the icing on one horrible **** filled cake.
#5
Looks awful.

I think it would be better if Mr T was in it, Regardless of age

Take Sly Stallone For example and Bruce Willis

The expendables

It really doesn't.

It has a solid director in Joe Carnahan.

It has 2 great character actors in Neeson and Copley and Bradley Cooper is very hot right now.

Even Rampage looks like he might have something.

I still have flashbacks to the starsky and hutch and dukes of hazzard movies-some things just shouldnt be touched-I have high hopes for the expendables tho-it aint gonna win any awards but could be a good laugh

I love it when people get precious about a tv show that they've mythologised in their head.

Boy George guest-starred for cripes sake:w00t:

Starsky and Hutch was played for laughs and had comic actors in the primary roles.

Dukes of Hazzard had Ashton Kutcher and Jessica Simpson in it.

A-Team is being pitched as a franchise with a serious cast and a solid director.

Miami Vice is a good film. It was also written and directed by the guy who ran the original show.

Liam Neeson looks totally miscast in this and that end sequence is laughable. Looks like Charlies angels...erm...but with the A-team.

After George Lucas created Jar Jar Binks, I've given up caring about films from my childhood being raped.

Indiana Jones was the same. Heck, Dolph Lundgren managed to mess up He-Man whilst the cartoon was still being made:cry::cry::cry:

I really do hope its good, just nervous about these remakes-think shutter island looks good tho,and the road should be one worth seeing-invictus and the blind side are excellent.

maybe the oscar people need to look at their "entry" criteria-we always seem to get an overload of good films at one time of the year and so much dross at others.
#19
Mr T = BA

No exceptions :x
#20
I like the look of it. It has 2 actors that were in 2 of the biggest films of last year (the hangover/district 9), liam neeson for gods sake and a solid director so I've got a feeling that all those decrying it before they've seen it are just bandwagon jumpers that will cry about the good ole days no matter how good it turns it to be.

they'll be the same people who think the original bsg is better than the sci fi version.

Shutter Island has good buzz. Looking forward to that. Can't wait to see The Road either.

I know what you're saying about this time of year, but I kinda like having an abundance of good films to go see.

It would be like someone making new Pink Panther films with no Peter Sellers, or Bilko without Phil Silvers.

Poor Dirk Benedict isn't getting any love:-D

I can't believe people are complaining about this. It has far better talent behind it then any other of the mentioned remakes (except maybe Miami Vice).

Director: Joe Carnahan - NARC was very good and Smokin' Aces was entertaining in a crazy way
Writer: Michael Brandt - Wrote Wanted, a perfect fit for the A-Team
Stars: Liam Neeson - A great actor and proved his action credentials with Taken
Bradley Cooper - Exceptionally hot right now
Sharlto Copley - Got a lot of praise for District 9
Rampage - Well who was Mr T before the A-Team...

So all in all this has great pedigree.
#26
cheers for the A-team and The expendables trailer links!!

expendables looks excellent, A-team.. we'll see! had to be seen though.

thats what he gets for appearing in celeb big brother.
#28
i think it looks good!
#29
Well at least they got something right.... the van!
Think it would be ok for the new generation but Liam Neeson as Hannibal is just not right. What about George Clooney or the like?
#31
