dont see why they dont have this tech in place , they have it in rugby and they use it well there, with replays for trys , be no diffrent in footy, takes a few secs to look at recording to give a decision, would save all the hassle and fall out like today

haha it was a good decision to be honest

And yet another badun.

The ref and linesman have seen the replay and still given Argentina that goal.

No sour grapes on the German game (they deserved to win regatrdless) but these decisions are getting silly. The ref and linesman saw the replay on the big screen. They know it wasnt a goal...... but still gave it.

unfortunatly they have to let it stand tho you cant blame them for that

im all for tv replays like in rugby it norm takes less than a min for a decision

obviously not every game could have this but the premiership and major tournies a must

Stuff the technology. Its all part of the game we love to hate. Ive watched games where decisions should have gone our way to mention Droba vs MU this season @ OT, clearly offside. You just deal with it........football wouldnt be the game it is with TV replays etc.

We need controversy, I'm all for goal line technology but then perhaps we'd get penalized just as much as credited so probably evens itself out in the long run.

That 1966 goal might not of been given, The hand of god goal, Peter Crouch goal vs Mexico.

Winning the league.... qualifying for Europe. (Ask Mendes)

No point in dwelling on times when the technology didnt exist.. it does now. Lets stop defeats by ref errors. Not a bad thing surely?

I agree, Just those are the types of things we'd lose with goal line technology, However I'm all up for a fair game, Just need some controversy.

Perhaps even with goal line technology their will be some controversy, Because the decisions still got to be made and would have to be made virtually instantly.

ps. You should get over yourself and stop bring that phantom goal that never was up. Lol

Indeed. Both goals were pucker and match winners. Th ghosts of those incidents wil never dissapear..... until they sort it out for the future. (Which is what this is about!)

Why do we need contraversy? Surely getting these majot decisions sorted is a move thats needed? I can certainly accept Refs cant be 100% correct all of the time. Why hang a ref out to dry for something that was invisible for him to see (assuming it was!). It isnt difficult and its only a very stupid frenchman and even more stupid Kraut thats stopping it from happening.

Because certain match's would be boring with out it, I mean we need to be able to debate over certain things, If they got every off side or penalty decision correct then it'd take some of the joy away.

I agree with goal line technology though, We do need to put an end to these type of decisions, Goals change games, May be today's result may of been different? may be not we'll never know. Perhaps karma for them?

Yes in the future I'd vote for goal line technology, For the good and fairness of the game.

My mate asked me if I saw the England goal.

Unfortunately I missed it, I was too busy refereeing the match.
