leeds lost......usually a few waiting in the wings to have a dig mate

bloody new den, first loss of the season which means there are now no teams unbeaten in all leagues

It's finished 1-1 between Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest, a result that is decent enough considering we (Forest) are missing a few key players. I hope the incident in the first-half where Hill elbowed Anderson is looked at. It sounded pretty nasty and Hill was only given a yellow (so was Gunter for seemingly protesting over how bad it was).

we'll do good this season.
I just hope we don't push for promotion, we're so not ready, we don't want to be like the sunday league club the other side of the A52.

I've been saying the same thing. Whilst I would love for Forest to be battling it out against the best clubs in the country again, we're nowhere near ready yet. I also fear that if we got promoted and subsequently relegated the following season we would lose a lot of our good players. Sure, this could be viewed as bias but I believe we have an excellent young squad, with a number of players being able to play in the Premiership one day. The problem is, they're too naive and inexperienced, and clearly not ready for top flight football. They'd get slaughtered and so we need to ply our trade in the Championship for a few seasons, become stronger as a unit, and know what it means to scrape a 1-0 win away in some lowly corner of the county during a freezing December night.

I know if we do get promoted this season, we would obviously bring in some new players, but the money is arguably not going to be enough to consolidate a Premier League status. I believe in our young squad, however it clearly showed how inexperienced we were last season by narrowly avoiding relegation. The team are stronger, wiser and better for it, but the gulf between the divisions is big and we're not there yet.
