ahhhhhhhh im SO annoyed!, i was supposed to have my driving exam today!
except the greedy **** examiners are on strike, EVEN after putting up the prices of tests to near £60.

I am not happy, one bit, especially with waiting almost 2 months to actually have my test!!
now iv been told they dont know when il be re-booked, waiting que atm is 9th sept and they dont know if it'll be before or after etc etc

stupid TOTALY non helpful customer 'helpline' supervisers even worse!
Told me i cant even book my test for the 9th septebmer without losing my fee, i will have to wait for the letter and then can change it!!!!!!

AND iv deliberatly changed my hours so i didnt work today but i wont be able to claim any of this due to it doesnt count!

Also cant claim the actual instructers lesson i didnt even need to take!!

So im out of pocket, aswel as having to wait a few months for a rebooking and frustrated that i still dont have a stupid card what says i can drive, thanks to incompetent greedy *******s who work for the DSA

my hubby is on strike because they have offered 2% pay rise, inflation is over 5% so how can you work that one out, council are really low payers and they are really taking advantage - he has never been on strike before but feels something has to be done, not that it will - it probably wont and being on strike he looses 2 days pay!

Isn't around 2-3% the standard pay rise for most places?

Not saying that its right but most people I know's pay rise is very similar.

The examiners did not put up the price of the test, they are merely employees of the DSA.

In reply to those going on about infation being at 5%, im a firefighter and my partners a police officer and we only got a pay raise of 2,45 and 1.9, nowhere near that 5% are you saying you deserve it more ??????

If you earned less then £6 ph then I'm sure you also be striking, since its the majority of the workers that are under this wage with Unison that are taking this action. Don't be fooled its blanket strike for all the occupations that are in the DSA public sector, this if from cleaners to refuse collectors.

How do you know that, it hasn't been decided yet, we're waiting on whether's its gonna be 8% over 3 years or not.

Well, the AFC payscales for April 2008 onwards have been calculated at 2.7% increase, with the remainder of the 8% split 2.7% year 2 and 2.6% year 3.

I'm in Scotland, does that make a difference?

It may do I suppose, we went through AFC about a year ago, but we are still waiting for the announcement of the cost of living wage increase, which again will be back paid then taxed...:x

I'm in Kent btw.

If everyone got a pay rise equivalent or greater than the rate of inflation then the country would crumble into economical meltdown.
