The kids are going back to school this week- are you pleased or not particularly bothered about it?

The kids are back to school this week (already are in Scotland I believe), question is.are you happy they are going back or not?
I've got to admit my kids are not too bad when they are at home for long periods (12 and 18 so more arguments than punch ups in our house!), so I'm not overly bothered. The youngest is going into yr 8 so I expect girly disputes and cat fights to come and the eldest is off to University (but staying at home)
.I know some people dread the six weeks hols and cant wait for em to end.............so I wondered..how does everyone on HUKD feel bout it?

My kids ( Derbyshire) aren't due back until the 9th and I can't believe how the school holidays have flown by. Not looking forward to the routine of everything and the lack of freedom to do what we want.

Mind you its back to school (work in one) for myself and I'm really dreading that

1......problem with this-if you fasll off the lader you gotta wait til they get home from school to get help (but they will only call an ambulance AFTER you given them thier tea!)

2.. Problem with this. within the first few days back at school they come home wanting a deposit for some trip or another, and will request a raise in pocket money " csu so and so has £100 a week!!( my ar**e:whistling:)

3 problem with this...the house looks spotless til the second they come in and then it looks like Armageddon!! Better the steady build up of carp than to be lulled into a false sense of complacency that the housework is done for the day!:x

4 problem... the washing machine will feel lonely and unloved cus its not used as regularly as it was over the hols and might just pack up the night before they need thier PE kits washed and dried at 10pm or "Miss will give me a detention!"

5 the problem with na na nan nah is that kids ALWAYS get the last laugh!!

hmm, jam packed roads, an extra 10 minutes to get into work and being forced to listen to their crud music through tinny mobile speakers on the bus, I'm ecstatic.

I am certainly looking forward to my 2 boys going back to school on Thursday! Youngest starts at Secondary School and the other is going into year 9, both are bored out their minds and actually want to go back to school.

My two younger ones (2 and 3) didn't stop going to nursery through the holidays. My 10yr old goes back tomorrow and i can't wait, they have all driven me mad! When the two younger ones are home, thinga are in a routine, but when the eldest is here, all hell breaks lose. I'm not blaming him, the other 2 just like to start being pains, more often, when hes around.

my 7 year old goes back on wednesday but my 5 year old is starting at a new school so doesn't go until friday 12th :-(
can't wait for some peace & quiet cos they've been arguing & fighting constantly!!!
