Fascinating brothers, for all the wrong reasons. the older brother never really got involved but I'm sure he was no saint.

What I would like to know is where is jack the hat buried?

I kid, I would like to know if the film made about them is worth watching? I know of atleast one. Are there more?

"One of The East End of London's villains. Employed by the legendary Kray twins to carry out several "jobs". McVitie was payed the sum of £100 by Ronnie Kray to shoot a fellow gangster, with the promise of a further £400 when the job was completed. McVitie never got around to the killing and refused to pay back the £100 deposit. This led to the twins unrest, further fuelled by McVities drunken threats to wreck one of the twins' clubs. On the night of the 28th October, 1967 at a party on Evering Road, McVitie was stabbed to death by Reggie Kray(Reggie's revolver had locked as he was about to shoot McVitie). He was stabbed in the face once and repeatedly stabbed in the chest and stomach. His body was disposed of in tradional gangland fashion, no trace has ever been found. Possible methods include cremation (links to council staff made this easy), encased in a concrete flyover support or dumped at sea off the Kent coast. Other claims were made that his body was sent to a glue factory at what is now the Dome at Greenwhich. Gang member Tony Lambrianou later told the "News of the World" newspaper that he had been secretly buried in newly dug grave in Gravesend Cemetery."

i wasn't aware of a film until a documentary I watched last night, where they had talked to Martin kemp. only got to see a quick glimpse mind, I will definately give it a watch.

That was the only movie made I assume? would be nice to see a modern film made about them. It could also turn out horrible if not cast properly.

Hmm I guess we will never know. We will also never know the total amount killed by these twins as the ex crims last night said they were sure it was more than the 7 police knew about.

I saw it when it first came out in 1990 and thought it was fab - but have to say I was slightly in love with Martin Kemp at the time so I might have been a little prejudiced!!
