I actually watched this today - I enjoyed it, but felt a lot was missing and unanswered. Havent read the book though.

Loved the scenes of the girls heaven....................was quite sad but also got my heart racing. That guy who played the murderer was soooooooooooo creepy

I thought he was very strange too, quite annoyed me when he was 'grooming' her to go into that place

I know!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he was horrible - but then I got really confused not long after..........thought there would have been more involvement with that girl with black hair as assumed she had a "gift" cause seen her running shortly after she was murdered

Did u not think the ending was a bit rotten

I know, it was quite frustrating throughout really where you thought certain people knew things.

The ending was very frustrating but I think that Susie Salmon was meant to have played a part in what happened at the end.

Yes she did. I thought there was loads of very touching scenes with her father. Made me a bit teary at times. I was really confused though - and glad I didnt pay to see it at the pics.

That scene where her sister broke in to his house was making my heart beat like mad :w00t: I was absolutely cacking it !!!!!!!!!! Reckon it would have been even better if they just made him appear at the doorway!!! Ooohhhh things like that really get me terrified and squealing!!

Was a bit unbelievable though after what the sister went through..........then that painful escape..............to run home with that book but not do anything straight away just cause her mum had came back. You would have thought she would have been screaming HE DONE IT CALL THE POLICE then ran and hid under her bed!!!!!

Glad someone else has seen this movie as my husband been out painting the garage, my son upstairs with his wee pal on the xbox and so only me who seen it!

I have been waiting for this to be released over here. I have read the book and its interesting you say the ending was a bit fustrating, as I thought that too after reading it.

Lol my boyfriend has been bugging me to watch it all week.... He was shouting at the screen when the sister was in the house..... I may buy the book but I'm thinking it may be a bad idea as I know the ending

Apparently they cut out a 'nasty' bit from the book in the film

yeah a rape scene. I reckon the two actors who played her parents were wasted on this movie.

I would still say to anyone interested in seeing it to go. I thought those scenes with Susie and the boy she just fancied like mad were lovely -especially that scene when she was dead but came through that girl. When she said "kiss me" I was welling up again !!

I thought the movie woulda been good without all the heaven stuff, there was just way too much of it. Also the way that the guy died at the end was rubbish, woulda preferred it if they found her body in the case.

I think that was a massive error - not finding her body in the safe. I thought that girl who had the gift was gonna stop them from throwing the safe into that pit cause she would have known. It would hav been much better for the story/film if that had of happened.

I think the film could have been sooooooooooo much better - but it was still enjoyable to watch

I really enjoyed this but saw the one with the old ending...

The book was one of the best that I've read in the last 10 years and is vastly better than the film.

The film is a much simplified version of the book and looks to be aimed at the sector of the US market that probably can't even read. Other than the girl, the acting in the film was so wooden that most of them would have looked at home in Albert Square.

I am an avid book reader and the only film I was happy with after reading the book was P.S I Love You

I thought that was great!

Yes I went through a good few! I thought the scenes of 'her heaven' were just so lovely and touching

I loved that book! Still haven't seen the film yet - always a bit wary of watching the films after the book cos they never seem to live up to the book. Will give his film a try. Cheers

Thought it was pretty naff really. Dumbest bit was parking the pickup so far from the hole when he was dumping the safe. Strange how he managed to load it up in the first place too.

ha, I said that when i watched it, I think it could have done without a few less of the heaven scenes too, I thought it was a bit confusing, not much seemed to tie together, too much going on that never amounted to anything. wasnt a bad film though all in all.
