Off to the docs shortly, so if you have no problems on yours then tell me the name please :)

Oh can't have the combined pill coz of health, and not sure if the injection is a option...any views on this?

Whatever you do LLM do NOT have the injection - the side effects are absolutely awful

#3
Mine is called microgynon. I think it brillant never get any period pains, light periods and always around the sametime. Didn't put weight on with them either.

Heard they are very painful puttin in and out? Where does it get fitted as in drs or hosp?

I really don't wanna get pregnant again, if i was brave id go and have the op!
Putting on weight, getting spotty, and being evil is not something i want either.

I have the injection and have never had any problems or side effects. I think any kind of mini pill or contraceptive of this sort will have a side effect, but the injection is a lot less hassle free than the mini pills. Just a jag every 3 months, speak to your doctor about it and see if it could be for you :)

Am writing these down....any more

It was a bit painful, but for about 10 seconds... For 5 years worth of no periods, no weight gain and no tablets. Worth every second of pain. Take some strong painkillers before you have it done, takes the edge right off

My cervix is positioned funny so I had to go to a clinic to get it, but you can have it done at the docs.

You can feel it, but the bits that can be felt soften up very quickly. never had any problems with it myself.

Its not the same though.

Micronor is a common one which I dispense on a regular basis, try the implant (implanon), can last upto 3 years. The one BlondBella mentioned is the most common one but it is not a "mini-pill" it is the combined one.

Hope this helps

I use Mercilon, it's apparently quite a low dose one and I haven't had any side effects (although I think it very much depends on the individual- what works for some doesn't for others!)

Ouch :| I guess I was just lucky then, I got told before hand that there was a possibility that I could put on weight but since being on it and canging my diet, I have actually lost weight :)

My sister has the coil in her arm and you can feel it! I was really put off by this, and she put on loads of weight with it too so that totally put me off too.

There are loads of different mini pills though, I'm sure your doctor will find the right one for you, might be a lot of trial and error though. I personally hate the things, have 2 kids while being on them

Your obviously in the know how, i've had bilateral DVT's so the combined is not a option, is everything else still a option?

Coil goes in the muff, implant in the arm
#33
I think everyone is different.

My mum bled constantly whilst she had the coil, my sister got pregnant whilst on the injections!

I cant have most types of pills so hubby had the snip haha
