... you have ever done.

Sun is shining, so thought I'd put my usual negative, tory boy, pee taking hat to one side and start a nice, happy thread. (I'll give it six posts before someone get's called a Nazi!)

I'll start:

I once gave a total stranger money so she could get a parking stub for her car - she was in a mess and I gathered she would have to walk a mile or so to the nearest shops to get some change. Somewhere in Bath if I remember rightly.

EDIT
This is a better one - I once saved a wild hog from drowning in a swimming pool in Tuscany.

I once jumped into a large rock pool fully clothed to save a kid from drowning.
Weston-Super-Mare I think.

Oo, oo, you just reminded me, I once saved a wild hog from a swimming pool in Tuscany! That's better than giving that old woman some money for her car! I'll change it!

Recently: twice I have found 2 different mobiles on the park where I walk the dog early in the morning. I have looked to see who the person last dialled or texted then sent a message like:

"Found your phone on X Park, I have left it under the white bench. Pay it forward"

Umm, nicest thing I have ever done, probably ignore someone I could quite happily take a gun to and therefor save their life :p

No I'm being nice, I can't say :p

I'm joking too by the way Marina :-D I'd never take anyone on here THAT seriously, I just think the ones that annoy me on here are just sad losers ;-)

I'd like to ask you to expand on that, but I'll be nice and leave it then. :p

Don't know if it's the nicest thing I've ever done but last Christmas, I found a guys wallet on the train. Was packed with notes (~£100 I think), corporate credit cards and other goodies a thief would love to find. Gave it into the old bill at Liverpool Street station.

Got a Christmas card a couple of weeks later from the owner (police took my address down) so, yeah, that was my good deed done and it made the guy's Christmas from the sounds of what the police officer told me when they phoned up to say they'd found the owner!

I shared my love with my girlfriend at the time and her mother, well she was a wealthy divorcee and very lonely at the time. GF didnt appreciate my good deeds though.

Do you mean you did your girlfriend and her mother at the same time?

Probably not.

I handed in a wallet at the Police station many moons ago too, person rang up my workplace to say thanks and not even a sniff of a pound tip lol

I once found a moby in a supermarket and got a tenner from the owner though:)

No would have been nice but was always at least an hour apart :whistling:, well apart from a few close calls and once being caught in the act.

OP, i once saved someones life (so i was told by a nurse)by stemming the blood from a major head wound to some random golden gloves at a taxi rank.

The same night covered in the victims blood, i was arrested on a murder charge, strip searched, locked up and then driven home by an apologetic copper who was at the initial incident at the taxi rank.

I would make that my personal responsibility to track them down and get the wallet back.

i saw a toddler running out of a shop in a crowded shopping centre. there was no sign of her parents so i took her back into the shop and searched for her mum. she came running over in tears because she thought she lost her. i know it wasn't as heroic as some stories on here but it made me feel good :)

since when did they have rock pools in WSM

Must have been Falmouth then.
I know it was somewhere I had only been to the once.
I take it WSM is pretty much sandy all over then.

I didn't see any hogs in the pool though. :giggle:

Nicest thing I have done, off duty but had bobbed into work. Little girl hanging around the station so waited a while watching her - must have been 5 or 6. Realised after so long there was no-one about, approached her and turned out she was lost. Several tanoy announcements were made but to no avail. In the end waited a whole hour with her at the BTP station, after bobbing back into work and getting a magazine to keep her entertained until her Dad arrived to collect her. He offered to buy me a coffee but I was already late for another appointment!

I recently sold at least £600 worth of WWE stuff to a poster on here for £60 (well less than that actually as I also paid half the postage) as she posted up a thread to say her 9yr old son had been badly let down by a seller on ebay.

Its all turned out lovely as we have chatted on the phone few times too and our two young sons have also had wrestling chats.
