Surely only a complete and utter moron would spend a fortune redesigning and pushing a new model of a dead machine without bothering to change the single most whinged about thing, namely the lack of second analogue.

Whoever came up with this thing needs punching in the head, you can imagine the meeting;

''I know, we'll eliminate the UMD drive thus destroying the second hand market and we can charge what we want for the games !''

''But er.... what about a second analogue stick''

''CHARGE WHAT WE WANNNNT !!!!!''

Nice point
It seems so stupid to place the Select and Start button in the place of an analogue!
The UMD wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worst!! Going to be a hassle downloading games of my SLOW SLOW SLOW internet connection

Cant really see myself buying psp games for £39.99 anyway which is no doubt how much Sony are gong to want for some of these 'big name' games theyve got in the pipeline, all 4 of them. Especially considering I wont even own a physical copy of the game, I dont mind buying the odd xbox live arcade/ PSN / Wiiware game but i aint buying my full price games in digital form im afraid

Only a complete and utter moron would not understand that a second analogue stick would be incompatible with all current PSP games. This is the same system.

"BUUUTTT I WANNNT ONNEE!! EVEN IF IT'S JUST TO LOOK AT!!11"

The next generation PSP2 will also be UMD free and arrive late 2010 or early 2011. This is setting the foundations and getting the back catalogue of PSP1 titles ready for download. They just need to adjust their pricing policy similar to the iPhone's.

errr, they could create new games that utilise the second analogue, forcing people away from the piracy riddled psp phat/slim, they could also port the psone games that use dual analogue. :roll:

Only an utter moron would think original PSP games on UMD disks can be played on a device with no UMD hardware or software.
