Read it and weep :-(
The YT videos are the limit. I didn't know people like that still existed in metropolitan America. If Obama gets beat, I think we ALL should be very scared.

metropolitan America?

21st century America, urban America, whatever you want to call it. I thought that those 50s attitudes died long ago. I was wrong.
Joe Sixpack would be proud of Ohio and Pennsylvania :-(
It scares me, because Ohio has a big say in the election. People like that shouldn't even be allowed a vote. They should be caged up in the zoo.

I can't agree with that statement.

They are entitled to their opinion and vote.
It's scary, but best to let them air their opinion in public where they can be monitored.

People forfeit their entitlement to vote in this country when they commit a crime and are imprisoned. Incitement to riot is a crime too. I think these people are wandering very close to the border between free speech and incitement. As such, I say they are committing a crime and should lose their vote.

I do agree that they should be left to hang themselves by their own words though.

I knew that this is gonna end up somewhere as "black v white" again. Just surprised that it took me this long to find such a case.

edit: this is coming from past media with america: Remember hurricane katrina? I have a desperate feeling that it has not been restored yet. And the fact that America is still a very racist country by today's standards, especially, as my ex-teacher told me, those in texas.

Yes, they lose the right to vote when convicted.

Removing the right to vote because you don't agree what someone says is never the right reason.

It reminds me of the threads where people are tried and convicted by the "Misc" crew based on newspaper reports that are written to sell newspapers, and not the truth.

The video is extremely selective in its content. We heard nothing from the tolerant people who are Republican, and though Sarah Palin was shown, we heard nothing racist from her. Is she guilty because some crackpots mouth off? Are there no racists amongst the Democrates? The "news" reporter is simple holding a big wooden spoon to stir things up.

They convict themselves by their own mouths. Not a lot is left to cast doubt on their agenda. They hate "nigrars", and they will darned well shout it from the rooftops. Never would they vote for one as commander in chief.
Why do you think McCain chose a small town hick with a hard right agenda as his running mate? She is the 'bait' to ignite the fascist right into action and cast doubt in undecided supporters minds.
She is McCain's scapegoat, who cares if she hangs herself if she gets him the election, right?
McCain has zero credibility left in my mind. He's just another scuzzbucket politician with his eye on the oval office, and will use every dirty trick in the book to get the vote. He is a disgrace to the uniform he once wore.

I don't doubt that there is one reasonable person for every right wing nut. The minority tar the majority with their brush, unfortunately.

I think that all politicians are masters at dirty tricks, sleaze and lies (how they spin!). Lets face it, the US election is nothing more than a huge circus.

It's their right to dislike/hate "nigrars", it's not a crime, so they can vote for who they wish.

Yep, pure Hollywood. And they talk about the lack of a "democratic process" in the middle east? What's democratic about fraudulently trying to have 200,000 democrat registrations struck from the record? Calling a guy a Muslim just because his middle name is Hussein? Just because Obama sounds similar to Osama, he's a terrorist? There's nothing democratic about calling a guy a "terrorist" because he was merely aquainted to a guy who did some bad things 25 years ago. Hell, they guy is a professor now. He grew out of his left-wing phase.
What is he meant to have done, attended a rally maybe? Susan Sarandon has probably attended liberal rallies, does that make her a terrorist?? lmao I smoked a little weed in my teens. Who didn't? Does that make me a junkie now, at the age of 43? :whistling:
Yeah, the whole process is far from democratic really. It's as far from democratic as you can get really.

I think most of the civilised world does lol

You'd be wrong.

Anyway this video is heavily biased, there's always nutters on both sides. That should come as no surprise since nearly all coverage of the election is biased one way or the other.

Loving Obama's presidential seal though :giggle:.
