Anyone should try bull bearings first with a pretend $100,000 to buy and trade shares with.

I am hoping to make this my career! Have an interview with RBS next week....

Tips: Read and understand the FT and financial tools + products!

No I didn't I was an external analyst, I have a few shares in the company though.

My old boss however has his entire bonus for 25 years and savings in RBS shares, talk about bad diversification, nearly 2m total 3 years ago......OUCH!!!!

Not sure if I agree with you on all of them but some are interesting.

What is your typical volume? Do you hold? or DT?

ive always wanted to try my hand at shares

i get buying shares from the company, but when you sell do you sell the shares at the higher price back to the same company?

the bullbearings site is awesome, reading the guise at the mo now and will try with some "real money".

haha! you should never hold the majority of your shares in the company you work for unless they have a vesting period. if they go belly up you lose your job and all your shares! bad times!

Where do you buy online?

I would like to see what £100 would do for me on RBS

Online brokers such as: http://www.hbmarkets.com/

£100 wouldn't go very far at all. Not worth it.

You'd want about £500 minimum, although I'd recommend a couple of K's if you want the chance of any real reward.

I am a pro football with a Vantage though. :)

HB was good until it stopped online trading last year. Now I use TD Waterhouse and ShareCrazy to buy shares to add to my portfolio (which is already worth hundreds of thousands of pounds).

Feel free to ask for any advice if you're thinking of going into the stock market.. :)

BG1 is also very knowledgeable on shares and if you PM him I'm sure he'll be willing to help you out.

Assuming the markets are semi strong form efficient, you won't consistently make abnormal gains without insider knowledge. Or at least that's what most academics would tell you :whistling:
#33
wow... i really thought this may have helped me make a quick buck. but im confused mostly
#34
im interested
what tools do u experienced guys use to buy/sell
what tools do u use to check constant updates of the share
how do shares work? do u only make profit by selling it more than what u paid?
