  It's just a horrible show in general. I'm not exactly pro-Xfactor or any other of them, but atleast they had people who knew about the structure and science of music, rather than just these one-genre performers who have a biased view.

  Loved the start when they went it was the VOICE but went off it last week with the pair,s shouting each other down and just switched over this week.

  I agree to an extent. The show its self was a shambles i.e. Will.i.am was on his phone for 2 minutes while Tom Jones was giving feedback, judges running out of stuff to say or saying the wrong thing (everyone but Tom) and unfortunately they had that stupid guy that keeps going "hopefully this will help me get over Amy." SHUT UP!! We've heard 3 times that you were her best mate. Cheers. Thanks. Stop using it now.
  
  Aside from that, I think most of the artists showcased excellent voices - which is what it's all about. And as always Will.i.am was hitting out with the brilliant Americanisms like "that was super mega dope".

  Whats The Point sorry but you're terribly wrong about the judges on The Voice. Jessie J knows more about the science and structure of music than most singer/songwriters these days. Watch some of her live performances. Then you've got Tom Jones a living legend and Will.I.am who has produced and written some amazing songs.
  
  And on The Voice they actually critique the singing style with actual terms, and compliment different techniques in singing. All the Xfactor judges go on about is "I mean you've got the xfactor. Good performance!" They never actually give an analysis on the techniques the singer uses. Weird innit?

  i didnt watch it just listened...last week they had them head to head...singing? shouting each other down i think
  this week some of them sounded absolutley dire! and im sure that one of the guys sang the wrong words! you notice more when you dont watch it!

  Putting a car together and understanding how each part works are totally different things. Also, I was referring to Simon Cowell, who is very well known in the music world as an expert of the trade, despite being a complete ass.

  Sorry I concede that I had totally forgotten that Gary Barlow was on the last series of the xfactor. Simon Cowell cannot write music, all he is is a great marketing man, all you have to do is listen to some of dross he's brought to market to know that he can indeed polish a turd.
