They make it up as they go along or Price variations at B&Q

If you're shopping at B&Q this bank holiday check prices online before you shop. Just bought a kitchen sink and taps listed as £150.00 instore, 50% off online phoned local branch before I went there was told they would "match" online price. Also wanted some dulux paint didn't have the colour I wanted at nearest store so crossed town to other branch paint was £5.00 more expensive. When I queried this was told should have bought at local store then! Finally went back to local stoe who found me a tin of the paint I wanted and then gave me 10% off the already cheaper price! No wonder they are so cheap they just seem to make it up as they go along!

you're lucky. your local store must have a decent manager. they're not supposed to match their own online price. in fact they're not supposed to match any online price. the price variation between stores is usually down to size. the biggest stores are warehouses and are the cheapest, then you have mini-warehouses and finally the most expensive are the superstores.
