So it's the wife's birthday and although she's got the usual pressies etc I'm trying to think of somewhere to go out for the day (with 3 kids).
We've recently moved to Lichfield so I don't know the area too well yet, so any inspiration would be much appreciated!!!!
Thanks in advance!!!!

Cadbury world sounds good!

We had a year pass for Twycross Zoo - loved the walk, and the Meerkats would always perform!

Another one to add is Black Country Living Museum in Dudley

Throw stones at brummies?

Black Country Museum - very good, as long as its not raining. Buy tickets online, and they are valid for 12 months - so you can go back. Once you're there, make sure you do the canal boat trip into the tunnel (extra charge for this).

If its raining - Cadburys World

How old are the children. Hatton country world is lovely for little ones with a few little shops for the wife to look round too. No good if really wet day but you'll be fine if there are showers. Have you got an iPhone. Do you use vouchercloud? They normally have some good deals on there for black country museum and hattin country world. I think cadbury world is very over priced... Only good for an hour or 2.

If you want to waste just a little time near lichfield, in Swinfen there is the heart if the country village which is just up the road from you and has the most amazing creperie. Also just up the a38 is another little shopping village on the canal with ice cream shops and barge book shops. Forgot the name of it for now.
If you want a day out go to Stratford. They have a lovely butterfly farm (again look for vouchers) , a wizard museum and lots of places to eat in a lovely setting
