Trafford Centre and after you've spent a fortune, across the road from there, there's that new skiing centre (Chill Factore) which is supposed to be absolutely fun for all ages.

Man United tour at Trafford Park.

There's a couple to start you going.

My kids loved the Museum of Science and Industry.
Entry is free but the prices in the café are a bit steep

After Trafford Centre if you still have any money left, visit Arndale Shoppping Centre
Chill Factor-e and Museum is what I would have suggested as well.

Shopping, plenty of nice restaurants, a day in the Lowry shopping then maybe a movie in the cinema.. there's plenty to do in Manchester. The big wheel opposite the triangle is fun too..
