its not the pain of the needle, its the pain of looking at it when ur 70 and thinking, omg what was i thinking, if ur gonna get one, make sure its something that even when ur older, u wont b ashamed of.

(waits for ppl to call it a tramp stamp)

My first tattoo took me nearly 12 years to find the one I wanted.

A little sore when u get them done, but after that not at all.

Really worth getting it done especially getting an original

For some people they can be addictive. (Reason unknown as they can be sore - just depends where you get one).

I've had ones on my shoulder/ arm and they were okay. Wrist was okay. However the one on my back was a bit sore and the ones on my pelvic area were sore.

Just be sure you want one. If you really want one wait 6 months and see if you still want it.

My top tip would be to print off your tattoo on to an acetate sheet if you can and then you could see what it looked like.

I got a fairly big one on my lower back, I am a softie and didn't think it hurt that much! and I'm thinking about getting another one done soon, maybe of my 2 sons names just a small one this time though. only thing that bothered me about my last one was how itchy it was after!

Depends on the person and location, I had my second the other day and both have not hurt. (back of neck and forearm)

Some people do find them very painful, the tattoist who done mine is covered in them and said it really hurts but he just loves them.

Of course it hurts! It's a needle! However, how much it hurts depends on whereabouts you get it done and how well you can cope with pain :-D

Just about the worst kind of self-disfigurement that can be imagined. It looks disgusting. Think again before it's too late.

:-D thats the problem - I am not too sure why - I don't particularly like them on a women - just a personal thing - it took me years to get mine done and in the end I designed a tribal one but with the initials of my son and daughter. It is true about it being addictive though as I now want another one done with the Isle of Man logo etc

Only stings a tiny bit at the beginning......after a couple of minutes it just goes numb. I've got 8 and in various places and none of them have made me say ouch yet.

tey dont really hurt that much. ive got five now.

big toe is agony
tummy is painless, till it touches hip bone then its just a sharp scratching feeling
back is painful usually on one side only though. alot of people i know agree, one side hurts more than the other (different side for different people) thats a bit of a sore feeling like being slapped id say
inside of wrist no pain at all, supprisingly infact to me it was completely numb, guess cos you hold the hand down, pob cut circulation to it a bit
back of neck just makes your back ache cos the way they make u sit.

well IMO.

though do remeber they are there forever and ever, even if u get removed they still visable. so id advice you get something that means something to you.
mine all important to me expcept one was a big mistake- soul mate in chinease, split from bloke sooner tha the tattoo's had heal now we both look like idiots ha ha

I could deal with a few minutes of pain, are you addicted to them?
banned#33
I'm not paying for pain
[mod]#34
It's only the thought of it that will make it painful or make you feel funny. Longest sitting i did in one go was 4 and a half hours..........i just layed there and watched Sky News and Sky Sports News the whole time in the tatooists. :-D

i have 6 now and even the first 1 wasnt bad, they are very addictive though once youve had 1 you will want more, and for me therapeutic i love having them done :)

yeah i get pregnant to prevent me getting more tattoo's ha ha!! i had my first three done in less than three months. only thing slowed me down was having babies. thankgod. as im a lady he he.

my wimp of a man came out from his tattoo saying i dont understand why people think they are addictive. and now reckons he isnt gonna this babies name tattooed, even though the tatoo he does have is of our daughter (it matches my one):whistling:

.... Just remember to be careful where you go to have it done !!!

Wow 4 1/2 hours i would be a bit restless by the end of that, mine is about 5inch high and about 2 inchs wide so im hoping it wont be long.

mine hurt and its tiny, felt like they were trying to carve the shape out with a knife, my friend went after me and starting screaming telling me she was gonna kill me and it was worse than giving birth lol, mine took about 5-10mins to do lol

Always ensure you eat a mars bar or 2 before hand and then drink lucozade during. This will stop the sickness feeling because your sugar levels drop while being tattoed.
