I actually love this programme. Not really because of the cooking hints and tips and all that, but mostly because there's always at least one mental person on there, and then they all bitch about each other and argue! Love it.

I love the bitchy comments made by the narrator he is so funny; he says the things I am thinking.

I think it's a good program although some of the people involved need a slap, particularly the one that gave everyone a really low score simply because she wanted to win herself(!)

soz m8 but i'm sure many allergy sufferers would rfeel uncomfortable with that comment a little empathy pls dont treat the subject so lightly its very very scary when people do
I know after spending the 1st nite of my hols in hospital pumped full of antihistamines and adrenaline due to swallowing a tiny flake of brazil nut anaphalactic(sic) shock is not nice at all
even my gp was unnerved by what can happen to a healthy 40 yr old

on a lighter side i love the prog too and lmao when that woman got so wasted she had to lie down and missed desert

Example of how to bring down a light hearted thread.

It is my 'guilty pleasure',especially the omnibus on a Sunday afternoon~I just loung around after cooking the Sunday roast and indulge for a full 2 and a half hours.
I must admit that I love Masterchef too~ really love"!!:-D

OMG! I can't belive i've just come across this thread. My eldest DD and I lurve this programme and nearly every evening this week have been watching the 'catch-up' programmes on the V+. We realised yesterday that we haven't got many left to watch  but my hubby was strangely over the moon :whistling:.

So sorry to do that, but you see kids playing ball near traffic and you tell them off without worrying bout whether it will spoil their fun
pavlovian conditioning i'm afraid, i hear/read people taking allergies lightly and i feel physically sick

Couldnt believe that, she gave her a better score than I would of at the end!

Did you see what that woman (dinner lady left outside) made for dessert? ice cream with crushed maltesers, squirty cream and raspberry coolie - you can make it by boiling fruit with water and sugar and stuff, or you can do what I do and use jam and a bit of water!

I was going to comment on that one. Even after being found out she voted low. I want to know the reactions of the other people when they watched the show back!

Is this not the one where she was made to re-score the other contestants before the final result was made known?

OMG, thought it was just me....really love it. My one and only vice.

Started watching 1 yr ago when off sick, now have to pre record each and every one. But the one this week in Scotland I have seen before...how sad is that, still watching it though....funny what you miss first time round-

Have never cooked anything from the prog, just like watching people get panicked and pissed.

Cannot abide Masterchef any longer, great skills but getting too samey, I can predict what the narator says next. Can tolerate it with the sound down, have attempted a few ideas from the prog.

Hope they don't spoil it by making it primetime. Love to see those who live in non palatial homes, cook the better meals. The perfect cook does not always win, seems to be those who make people feel really welcome who do the best, what do you all think?
#25
To win the thousand pound you dont need to be a good cook just average ! The way to win ,dont try anything too fancy ,serve food piping hot ,have plenty of booze ,be relaxed and dont cook at all when your guests are there and oh......have a sense of humour and dont go in a huff if someone comments on your night if its a bad one .recipe to laugh all the way to the bank ! easy peasy or is it ? lol :-D
#26
I reckon the camera team deliberatley delay and divert the contestants, so they start too late...makes good TV, or am I just being cynical?

I love the narrators comments, he really hates the pompus types
#27
My favorite person was the welsh fella with the tash who got completely trolleyed every night-to the extent that they had to start hiding the booze! His food was so bad someone flushed it down the toilet!

Quality programme!!
#28
On one of them there was this crazy lady who was a Clown for kiddies parties and used to put any food she didn't like in her handbag!!!! She was a weirdo tbh.
#29
Would love to know how the prog has affected their lives....some of the more embarrassing types, as mentioned above. Good idea for another prog, if they ever get any of them to agree to take part again!!

Good prog but all down to clever editing and narration later.
