Got an email saying:

Dear Customer

Abbey PLC have been receiving complaints from our Customers
about unauthorised use of their Online Bank Accounts.
As a result we periodically review certain Customers' Accounts and temporarily restrict access
to those which we think are vulnerable to unauthorised use.

This message has been sent to you from Abbey PLC because
we have noticed some invalid login attempts into your account.
Due to this we are temporarily limiting and restricting
your account access until we confirm your identity.

To confirm your identity and avoid limitations to your Online Banking Access,

This a scam ?

What on earth makes you think it's a scam ??

Do any banks actually ask you to fill in sensitive information on-line ? .............no
Do you actually have a Abbey account ?? ..............................no you dont

Whether it's genuine or not [there never genuine ]..........NEVER fill out banks details on-line or even reply to these e-mails .

Just ...............DELETE.............. the e-mail imediately

LOL at them sending it to someone that dosent have an Abbey account!

I find it kind of funny actually, if they have restricted access to your account because they can't identify you why send an email providing a link for you to sign in when they have told you access is restricted.

These kind of things come to mind when I read stories in the paper of people becoming a victim of online fraud even when they don't buy things!! Silly people.

they dont select you individually...

they re sent from bots or from other people opening them after installing bot on your computer and sending to all your contacts

yes it does work as some people dont frequent forums half their life
