There are only so many possible answers and all of them will have the same symbol. The symbols will be different each time, but every possibility will have the same one.

Clever and simple. Your answer will always be a multiple of 9 ... and in the chart all multiples of 9 have the same symbol. :-)

Symbols are the same for 9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54 etc. etc.
Not that difficult really...

think of a two digit number
that can be represented as 10a + b
add two digits together a + b
subtract the new number from original 10a + b - (a + b)
equals 9a, so it is always a mulitple of 9 and all multiples of 9 have the same symbol

heres a fact about the number 9
reverse it
subtract your phone number from the new number
this number is divisible by 9 (ie. multiple of 9)
