not when your in the middle of a 12 month contract lol...

still the provider we were with before was 600x times worse - aka. ORANGE:-D

TBH Virgin media is fine 98% of the time but every so often it decides to be so slow its virtually unbearable..

Virgin cap your internet now based on average use over a week or so. so if you've been doing a lot of P2P recently you'll be paying for it now.

You could always upgrade your PC to Windows XP too, that should help.

Would be on o2 if I lived nearer manchester....

but can't get o2 in rhyl lol..

i've heard they're very good too :-D

Oh that's not good. You could always try a Business package from BT/Plusnet - will cost a bit more but generally they don't have any traffic shaping - so max speed 24/7.

i had the same problem 3 months ago ntl guy tried every thing, then changed power supplyto router, hey presto it was fine...hope this works..

Thought it was only me that was having problems with Virgin. I've decided I've had enough and I'm changing provider.

Limit your upload to below 80% of its full capacity if you're using BitTorrent - your connection will bottleneck otherwise.

Or perhaps you're in the TN or RH postcode area (West Kent or East Sussex) as there were some issues last night which brought the web to a crawl. :)
