I came across this story whilst looking on the sun online.

"AIRPORT guards stopped a man boarding a plane for wearing a Transformers T-shirt showing a cartoon gun.

The top has the Transformers film character Optimus Prime on the front.

Brad, of Bayswater, West London, added: "Its a cartoon robot with a gun as an arm. What was I going to do, use the shirt to pretend I have a gun?

"I was flabbergasted. I thought the supervisor would come over and see sense, but he didnt. After I changed he said if I changed back I would be arrested."

They are so good to protect us from a cartoon gun!! I am feeling well and truly safe now.

And soon you may be locked up for 42 days without charge.

We are all now guilty (of at least something) until proven innocent!

Morning Midjet
thats ridiculous! How can a picture of a robot with a gun be wrong?
Optimus rules! Have these people got no brain cells?
Detaining someone with a t-shirt with a gun on it....wonder how many people it took to search/threaten etc the poor chap.....

What about those lovely people with guns, knives, exotic animals and drugs that had to just walk past when this was happening? I'm sure they were gutted they weren't treated to the same as this chap

Maybe they knew that the Tee shirt could transform into something else, lol

Yeah, your an ass. I continue to rant about them just trying to make it look like they're doing something.
After 5 mins searcing me by hand and with a scanner. Yeah it was your belt.

In Spain i went through with a belt. the machines were set off. I then showed them my belt and they said "your fine". So i could have had a bomb on me aswell as my belt! Suppose Spain inst likely to get a terrorist attack

What next, I can't wear a t-shirt of some cool guy smoking because it might set off the smoke alarms?
Or wait wait, I can't wear something to do with space invaders as they are getting scared of some galactic assault :D.
Imagine a kid wearing this sort of stuff (inc pants), are they gonna force him to get naked? Or will that infringe his human rights?

Bonkers at its max.

(rant over)

CNN reviewed it here :

What would worry me most wearing it is the fact you'd probably get shot first then asked questions later !!!!!!

That's the only place I've ever been abroad- I was 14 and went with the school!!! I thoroughly enjoyed it although space mountain was scary and my mates thought it was fun to sit on my bed at 2am eating biscuits over my head!! (I have to have at least 8 hours sleep otherwise I'm an evil midjet!!!)

True....
3 hour wait....then plane is delayed..... 5 hours later you get on....then they realise someone has gone walkies......then you get there with your bum and legs dead and have to wait another 2 hours...then they lose your luggage.....

If your lucky they'll strip search you....thats about as much fun as it gets!
